I've recently tried the troika and I seem to like it. The charge attack is just phenomenal.
Right now i'm trying to figure out what weapon would pair well with this "boomstick" of a sword.

I find the magnus works good
I find the magnus works good with the regular combo.
Sword combo and a quick switch to the gun for a single shot. This usually flinches the enemy so you can close in for another combo.
Antiguas works good if you want to sit in one spot and wait for them come to you. Pulsars work good for part of a crowd control set.

If you pair another sword with it, then you have two swords. Once you have two swords, you should make them distinct non-normal damage types, which means that you shouldn't have Sudaruska/Triglav (the upgrades of Troika) at all. So either abandon Troika for Warmaster Rocket Hammer, or don't pair Suda/Trig with another sword.
People like vortex bombs with the Troika-style charge attack. But you might need a lot of charge time reduction to charge into your own vortex?
One of the other crowd-control bombs (Voltaic Tempest, Shivermist Buster, Stagger Storm) might make your Suda/Trig-charging life easier.
Blitz Needle is a good idea, because it is Blitz Needle. With it and Suda/Trig, you could try to play a charge-only style. That might be interesting.
An elemental gun, particularly Nova Driver or Storm Driver (or, um, Overcharged Mixmaster), would be nice for taking out turrets.

but from my personal experience I would higly recommend vortex bombs mixed with chaos armor or CTR uvs , the ammount of damage you can get from vortex with combined with a heavy sword is insane.
You will have trouble with range attacking monsters though if you do not have extra space for a gun or something, specially spookats and devilites wich are very unlikely to get trapped with vortex type bombs because of their attack patterns.

the CTR med from level 10 is enough to get a troika charge in on a vortex, if you use shield charging. It's actually perfect, you release it the moment it's charged, the vortex goes off between the first and second hits of the charge, resulting in more damage than if let go of the charge earlier (The second charge hit would knock them away from the vortex explosion).
Someone in the arsenal forum has made a thread for weapon synergies, and troika+electron vortex has been brought up multiple times.
I'll tell you something though - the Troika lines may seem really great in tier 2, but at tier 3 they become a lot less useful. Still very fun though.

warmaster rocket hammer with a winmillion, blitz, or antigua, I personally found blitz to be the most useful

Stagger Storm or Shivermist. Something to make sure the enemy stays still while you pummel them to death.
I'm a little more partial towards Stagger though, since Shivermist can have the unfortunate side effect of trapping you in a circle of Greavers (So many Gravers... so traumatic...!),
