I don't really understand the big deal about the dark harvest festival. I mean, it's a nice distraction, but we've been having nice distractions once every two months or so for the last year. Wouldn't 'give content update' be a bit more appropriate? I'm really hoping that they do give large content update instead of apocrea/tortodrones/kats/some new temporary event.

as long they dont make us "hunt" some sort of "ghost" that only have low chance to appear like the 2%, i will be fine, they should ditch away these kind of events it just really.

I like the dark harvest the most because, although hallow, it actually gives a reasonable way to get accessories and costumes that isnt insanely hard or super Grindy (that and I want to fill some accessory slots on my hallow set)(hallow brigandine is boring with nothing)(and jack o bombhead needs something on the armor or it just looks odd

I think/hope that it will be launched today. Even if it isn't paired with new content, it is still a nice event, especially for the ones (like me) who never experienced it before.

However, I do think that there will be new content. A lot has been announced and like Aphrodite said "they are putting a final touch to something grim". And it is logical to launch something grim together with the Dark Harvest festival, not?

So we can expect quite a lot! Let's hope our expectations will be (at least partially) not be too much.

Well, the rewards are permanent at least. The permanent hat, that is.

Theres nothing wrong with earning event rewards, it gives you something to do for the next week or two. Arguably the play-and-reward model is how the biweekly items should be distributed; the one dimensional alternative of Just Throw Money At It is horribly unstimulating to the point one wonders why there should be a game at all.
