Opinions? I personally don't find it comfortable wearing socks with sandals.

Maybe people like to be safe and have a bit of breeze at the same time...? Though I'm pretty sure crocs function for that anyways.

And let's not forget the feeling of getting your sox wet while wearing sandals, it is horrible.
