I am sincerly worried. Quite soon it will be a year since the original update realease date. What kind of bug or glitches can cause so much trouble ?
Are they in develloper hell, where nothing make sense? I wonder.
Gunner Update?
The question is waht mean soon. The normal soon, a week or so. Soon comparativly to the rest of the update time, a month or so or something else. Oh well at least it's something !
The normal soon, a week or so.
Erm, whose 'normal' would that be? When was that decided?
The 'normal soon' is completely, entirely dependant on the frame of reference. Are we talking soon compared to the time it takes to eat a bowl of spaghetti, or soon compared to the age of the Earth? It's good that the GMs are acknowledging the gunner update is still a thing, but without giving a timeframe 'soon' means very little.
Typically "soon" means a few months to game developers. No need for hostility or pessimism Rare~
No matter whatever "soon" may mean, this indicates that they are still working and didn't forget it at least. And unlike usually they didn't say "we are working on it", but an indication that they are preparing for the release!
"Stop Asking us the update will be here..."
Anyway, even if they say "Soon" i dont going to believe they "still working" on something until they say what its going on with the game. i think the bad move that everyone did when they saw atalanta in haven was "OMFGWTFBB NARMASFARG WHARS GAS WHERE IS MAH GUNNA UPDATA!".
i would have asked what its going on with the game. because at this point im really worried with this silence by the part of GM and Devs
Out of curiosity, what precisely was said about the gunner update?
I found a screenshot of her saying something about it, but what she said was heavily obscured by the inspect screen.
EDIT: Thanks.
"The gunner update will feature new guns, extra classes added onto guns, reworked guns, new gunner armors and helmets, and balancing out the guns as a whole. The gun update will be released soon, but sadly we don't have an exact date. We will add other new things as well!"
Something along the lines of that.
@Lunarias
Pedantic I'd give you, but I was neither intentionally hostile nor pessimistic. My point is that there's no reason to get worked into a lather until there is lather-worthy news.
We've been told 'the gunner update is coming' for a while, and by now it sounds a little like this [explicit warning] (just replace "dragons" with "gunner update").
Stop trying to stop these kind of posts, they won't, the only ones that can stop them are the mighty GMs, so unless you are Addy, your oppinions will barely affect anything if at all, and the word "soon" means nothing after 1 year of waiting in silence.
Been ready for the gunner update for a whole year now. Went out of my way to reserve several million crowns worth of UV'd guns just to see them sit in my inventory collecting dust for the last 11 months. Will be really glad when I can finally make my Winter Grave. :3
I'm not really interested in the Gunner Update itself anymore to be honest. More excited for the arcade redux which I imagine is the cause of the delayed release. We already got testing servers during the summer so I imagine that the guns themselves are done. The redux must be what is keeping it, that is if they are actually still developing it which I have faith.
@Aviri: These kind of post? What do you mean? Because I was wondering if there had been any ign of life from the GM about this and I got my answer.
Should I graveyard this topic now that I got my answer?
If a GM can answer in game why not answer in one of the countless Gunner Threads on the forum? I smell something fishy, and no it isn't the fishy sort of smell we like to believe we are smelling.
a GM saying in the forums that the gunner update is coming soon would only result in post putting trademarks over specific words of a sentence that could possibly be constituted of only one word. no, I can't be more subtle that I am right now.
If the developers do think that of its community then that's a very big problem and needs looking into. Many fans actually enjoy seeing what the developers have to say, at the end of the day we put a lot of time and money into a game we all love, the developers could at least acknowledge that they appreciate our support by providing updates and proving they love Spiral Knights as much as we do.
We aren't forcing OOO to do anything but it would be nice not be kept in the dark all the time and the only time when we do hear from a developer it's about a promo which in fact benefits them more than us.
Good thing OOO still has one in the chamber
Let's hope their sites are straight and there won't be any more spray and pray promotional cosmetics for a while.
(Please keep this going)
Yesterday Atalanta said it will come soon. ;p
