I have troubling reports, OOO is a evil mastermind who are training kids to be more susceptible to violent acts, drug abuse, pedophilia and much more. What do I mean? Well, the core gameplay revolves around beating any living thing into a pulp that isn't your race or species, training kids to be more violent and racist. Players are also rewarded for their violent acts by being given money in return, fuelling aggression and supporting crimes such as mugging people for cash and valuables. As of the recent "halloween" update (it's not actually halloween anymore!) you are encouraged to go up to strangers in large coats to buy "candy tokens" i.e. DRUGS!! Not only are you encouraged to buy drugs but also to distribute them to other strangers! In the beginning I also mentioned pedophilia, why? Well think about it, guardian soldiers and strangers are all much bigger than us, we are in comparison, children to them, therefore, as we are encouraged to meet up and chat with such individuals, making exchanges with them, OOO is in fact supporting pedophilia!!! I think as a collective team we should work to ban Spiral Knights and have the devs behind bars!

Even if there was a correlation to all this, correlation still does not cause causation. It's like the entire FPS scene mostly seen toward CoD. Many MANY people play CoD and guess what? Pretty much NO ONE that plays CoD has ever killed someone in real life. I'm pretty sure 100% of all players of Spiral Knights do not participate in everything that you have mentioned.

And I know, I sound serious. But that's just my thoughts.

This thread was a complete joke 'cos Spiral Knights has one of the nicest communities and everyone's pretty harmless, never had people asking me for information, never had 12yr olds screaming abuse at me, etc. ya' know, what a lot of games unfortunately have :D

While the PETA approach to video games is ridiculous, so is saying that they cannot possibly raise ethical and moral dilemmas. I honestly would go so far as to say that the concept of "whales" and heavy reliance on gambling addiction (via both gambling elements and flat out gambling) for profit that Spiral Knights exhibits is almost certainly unethical. I brought it up in a thread a while ago, but people disagreed with me.

Speaking about moral dilemmas, Has anyone heard of a game called Hatred?, It has a particularly ,ahem, "interesting" goal.

Personally speaking I do not like the concept of said game a single bit, it is just too... dark... and evil, but well, considering that when GTA4 came out I had trouble going on a killing spree like I normally did in Vice city and San Andreas due to the Improved realism, I'm probably a bit too sensitive when I think that thouse characters could might as well be a real innocent person and I'd just be shooting them in cold blood, I found that to be very disturbing.

Theres a huge difference between a movie and a videogame, In a movie you are not the one being evil, you are simply a spectator and you have no play in the story or it's outcome whatsoever, in hatred you are the one who is an antisocial psycho murderer and you're supposed to go out and kill as much people as you can, granting them horribly violent and brutal deaths, and that is supposed to be the goal of the game, that is supposed to be an entertainment.

it is you, killing defenseless people who just run for their lives... I'm not going to argue that it will corrupt people's minds or that it will affect mentally unstable subjects or whatever, I am no expert in psychology and I'd be just making assumptions, but I think that this game just took things way too far.
