I can't get past the Hall of Heroes 6-2. I have a full set of Sinister Skelly gear (helmet, armor, and shield) a vile striker and a shadow driver. All of these things are 4 star but It still doesn't let me through
Does anybody know how to fix this?

I think others have you covered here
You need to access the "Hall of Heroes 6-2" mission from the mission tab. Then walk to talk with what's-his-face at the far end while wearing all your 4* gear (make sure it is equipped and not just a costume) and then you should be able to walk behind him afterwards to complete the mission.
I think that's how it goes, my brain is sort of fuzzy on all of this.
For future reference, try to make threads like these in the "New Recruits" subforum. People there are there to help other players who have questions and are a bit more thorough and less likely to go off topic than we do here in General Discussion.

Strange.But in the

But in the screenshots, the gate to the elevator is open. What's with that?
The only two reasons I can think of you not being able to finish the mission is:
- Didn't see the gate behind Barrus open; that lets you pass through to the elevator and finish the mission
- You don't have proper authorization to finish the mission and you went through the HoH in Garrison along with getting the 4* armor early, but you're already 6-2, so...
or
I'm leaning towards 1.

Yep, the elevator gate opens once you talk to barrus with qualifying conditions. Take the elevator behind him(he tells you to do that btw)
Equip them? You only need one weapon to be qualified, btw.
