Spiral Knights has been updated once more.
Changes:
- More advanced/realistic Character Creation
- Added Genders
- Added Character Owned Shops
- Added Advanced Crafting
- Many more items, Weapons, Armours!
- Added more enemies
- Added *** Tiers
- *** Floors Added
- Players can now skip floors they have already gone through
Bug Fixes:

Welcome, Fellow Knights. Those of you who have booted up Spiral Knights once more will have to recreate your character, Due to the new patch. However, The game will suck you, the player, Into the world of Spiral Knights. The patchnote about Advanced character creation was a lie, But you get to play in your own body. Thing is, It just so happens that you can die for realsies. Your body is missing from the real world, And instead resides in the game.

[The sound of a young boy awokened the renegade warden, annoyed, Affraiel slowly opened his droopy grey eyes only to see midnight standing beside his bed, looking eargerly into his eyes.]

Affraiel: "Valkyrie boy, what did I tell you about walking into my room? Which part of don't wake me up in the morning did you not understand?"

Midnight: *panicked* "Mister Affraiel, something is seriously wrong!!! Today, the developer gods have arrived and they brought genders onto our world!"

Affraiel: *sneers* "And, what does all this have to do with me?"

Midnight: "Someone, or something, has turned us all into women!!!"

Affraiel: *yells* "WHAAT??!!!"

[Affraiel immediately flips down his shirt only to see his once magnificent, masculine chests were replaced by two large useless meat sacks. Even now, his voice is getting more feminine by the minute and his tough rugged skin were smoothened. Jumping down from his, or her bed, Affraiel looked around the adjacent rooms to see if his other males friends have changed.]

Saboteur: "ARGHHH!!! This isn't happening, my hands are now soft, and pretty, I can't even pull the pin off the grenade anymore!!! And this morning, Mezizas has also turned into a king and proceeds to sexually harrass me in my mind! What the hell is going on?!"

Seeris: "Wow, I am more fabulous now than I was before, praise the developer god!"

Affraiel: "Ugh... not Serris and Saboteur too! This is really bad... valkyrie boy was already very feminine when he was a guy so he got the short end of this..."

Midnight: "No, Mister Affraiel, you are wrong, now I can never confess to the girl I loved!!!"

Affraiel: "Does it matter? You are going to get rejected anyway, but still, we need to get to the bottom of this! We need to find out who changed our gender when the update arrived!" *turns to Serris* "I know it is you! It must be!!!"

Serris: "Hey, don't look at me, I may have grudge against you but that is no reason for me to turn the others into girls too. Someone else must be behind this..."

Affraiel: "I am done waiting around, lets go get who ever robbed us of our manhoods!!!"

I don't know.
All I know is that I'm going to be taking a lot of inspiration from SAO, And that all progress will be made ingame.
This is mainly a test.

I will note some solid facts though.
Facts:
Players can acess the internet ingame.
The story is inspired by SAO.
Players may teleport to any elevator they have used.
Players may now travel beyond Haven.
There are other surface towns.

So... For figuring out what the bosses are, as well as the gear, I'll be asking help from everyone willing.
There is no App format yet, due to a mixture of procrastination, and difficulty, As I'll be asking people for their real appearances and mindsets.

Well, yes, You CAN, but-

You'll miss out on a lot if you don't participate in the raids/levels.
And besides, A mechant doesn't make much without the goods to sell.

Idea!

I could be asking for help to obtain X material to craft Y weapon/armor to sell. That it would provide some reason to go into the clockworks other than a mission.

I could even sell gear to the other characters if I could get ahold of the right materials.

I have plans for the core...
That is, once we get to the core.
All I will say is that getting to the core is only the halfway point.

So...
Make some other bad guy if you want.
Edit: Let me restate that: The core is the writer's territory.
If anyone wants to do stuff with Apocrea or the Swarm, that is for them to decide.

Hmm

Maybe you could the normal thing and be the enemy, having the players say what they were going to do, and have you decide the outcomes, however that can be slow.

What if you laid out the enemies, told us which enemies to go after, and have us write the combat sequence. This runs into the problem where some enemies will be dispatched without difficulty due to the writer controlling the situation. However you can make rules to disallow that, and also tell us how difficult enemies would be. After all, nobody can be amazing at combat in this story, as it isn't like most.

With bosses my suggestion won't work. So I don't know about that.
