According to the trending history of late promos (Black Kat Returns after Black Kat event, Vile/Fiendy promo after Dark Harvest is over), we shall have several more overdue promos. Here's the schedule:

Vile Promo - 11/12 through 11/25
??? Promo - 11/26 through 12/9
??? Promo - 12/10 through 12/23
"THE BIG ONE*" - 12/24 through New Years

All the past promos have been synched so that the last promo of the year lands on Christmas Eve, the day where devs like to save the best for last.
"A DELUXE END TO A DELUXE YEAR"
After all, why release the gunner update any other time of the year, amiright? November? BORING.~~
Late December release will also coincide with Winterfest, so we can use all the new gear to die in WINTERFEST DEATH MOUNTAIN 2 - DR. HEREX'S REVENGE!

Failing that there is no big update in the final update of the year, and it gets pushed back like all the other promos, expect the GUNNEREDUX to come at the second most important day of the year, on Spiral Knight's Anniversary date.

My conspiracy is as follows, and someone in game did bring this up:

Late November = OH GOD WE NEED AN EVENT FOR DECEMBER
Early December = OH GOD WE NEED WINTERFEST DID IT LAUNL::DFJ:WM
Late December = Time to work some more; less work gets done because of holidays
Early January = Work gets done
Late January = Possible release of guns; else work
Early March = Possible release of guns; else work
Late March = OH GOD WE NEED TO MAKE THE ANNIVERSARY THING
Early April = GOTTA MAKE ANNIVERSARY LAUNCH IT PUT BECHAMEL IN THE GAMESDFJ:OVW
Late April = Work gets done again
Early May = Possible release of guns; else work

While there is no real proof that this will be exactly what happens, it seems pretty likely to me that this isn't too far off. Of course, whenever the new event comes out, we go into "OH GOD TORTOPOCREA" mode again, and the development team loses another block of time or two to that business. All just theory crafting though.

Another conspiracy theory on a different matter.

Be me at auction house and see 100 hallow gear, costumes, accessories or whatever going at rock bottom prices like 25 -50 crowns.
I bid on all of them just for fun.
And as sure as the sun rises, somebody out there outbids on every single last one of them without mercy.

I think there are some crazy merchants try to resell even these and would go so far out of there way to bid on the hundreds of hallow items just to make bucks later on. It's crazy how ritual it is.
