Sorry for the delays, now I can finally update the post. :'D
Thank you guys so much for making this a successful art trade! EDIT: Out of all 16 participants, everyone did their part! You guys are amazing. :) Backup artists (as well as any other people who want to do extra art), you have the choice to do more art if you'd like.

Hey everyone! I ran a Secret Santa art trade thread last year which turned out to be a great success. I'm hoping to bring that back this year with a few tweaks.
Last year, the main problem was that three people did not receive gifts at all. While I did complete art as compensation for one of those people, the other two were left without gifts with no one else to complete them.
As such, I'd like to introduce a system of back-up artists to combat this problem. These are people who wouldn't mind doing a second piece of art if someone ends up artless this year. This system is 100% voluntary, as I won't make anyone do anything beyond their first piece of art if they don't want to. Make a special note on your signup form if you'd like to be a back-up artist. If anyone has other suggestions on how to work around this problem, I'd love to hear it!
The other problem was that some requests were too complicated or overwhelming. Everyone only has two weeks to complete their art, and they all have different time commitments. So if you ask for a detailed colored drawing of you and 50 of your guildmates, it's not going to happen. Keep it short and simple.
And that's it in terms of addressing some main issues. Onwards to the actual thread!
How it Works
- Anyone and everyone of all levels of artistic talent can participate! Simply post a reply to this thread (see signup sheet below) or email me at friedsnipe@gmail.com. Signups end on Wednesday, Dec. 10th, at 11:59PM PST. Any late or incomplete entries will not be eligible for the Secret Santa exchange.
- On Thursday the 11th, I will use this generator to randomly select who will draw art for whom. I will not post the list publicly; I'll mail each of the artists the name of the recipient for whom they will be drawing art for. Please do not tell your person that you are drawing art for them until the 25th. That would defeat the purpose of a secret Santa. xD
- Between the 11th and the 25th, you have two weeks to work on your art. During this time, please send me a link to your art (tinyurl it if you can) via in-game mail or through my email (friedsnipe@gmail.com) sometime before the 25th. Exception: if you are drawing art for me, please don’t send it to me until the 25th.
- On Christmas Day, all the artwork will be posted up on this thread. If there are still people who did not receive artwork by the 30th, work will be divided among the back-up artists.

- Personality-wise, she's a happy dork who is never sad. (She isn't overly-sweet, though. She's just happy all the time.)
- Her signature weapon is a random ice spear conjured up via magic.
- She likes ice magic because it's cool. (hahaha get it?? cool?? ice??)
- I designed her to be more of an NPC-like presence in RPs and stuff. In other words, she totally wouldn't be a main character. She's just here and there.

Thanks so much for signing up as a back-up artist! If you have issues screenshotting your knight's costume, do you want me to do that for you? If you could describe your costume to me, including personal color, eye shape, helm, armor, and accessories, I can build the model in Spiral Spy and upload a reference for you to use. It's what I did for Jester since he doesn't have access to SK, so I could do the same for you. :p

As for the art itself, i love leaving the artist to be as creative as possible, using any visual elements and scenery as they please. The only request is that my knight is somewhere in there ^^.

Art Request: A Wolver, with an aquamarine coloured bandanna. If you feel up for more, you can try drawing him with his paws propped up against something, so it looks like he's trying to peer over that something. Or just do whatever you think is a cute (or easy to draw) pose!

While I'm going to be away for a week or so in December, it looks like I won't be able to participate fully. However, assuming the need for back up artists won't be needed till past Xmas, I'd love to help in that respect.
It looks like there's a bunch of artists participating this year, so I probably won't be needed, but just I'm case:

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!
Good thing I have a fan-project that's honed my pixel art and animation skills! While I can also draw, I can only do black'n'white pencil.
- In-game name: Autofire
- Art Request: I would really like a picture of Pivot about to swing a Kamarin at a Super Blast Bomb or an Irontech. The bomb is in midair in front of Pivot, and Pivot is standing on one foot. (Think of a batter about to hit a ball which he tossed up in the air, which is effectively what Pivot's doing.)
Pivot is in a simplified set of Solid Cobalt gear. His armor lacks pouches. His wrist guards are prismatic, round, and are smaller than normal.
(I shall get more pictures if I have the chance, but I'm busy right now.)

Alright, I guess I can move my status from "backup only" to "participant."
I'm also a pixel art animator and can only draw black'n'white pencil. (though I have a couple pens which I use for finalization)

Art Request:Draw my Knight (who wears the starter gear Military Draped Armor and Crescent Helm with Com-Link accessory) as a kinda scrawny character (This is only if you usually draw SK characters with non-canon proportions) and replace the arms of the armor with clunky (but not overly large, I don't want it to come across as a Strength) dark metal-grey robotic arms, kinda like this? If that's any help. Pose or environment really doesn't matter, I'm fine with white backgrounds. Although if you could have the character doing something Tech-Knighty like operating a computer (or being outright plugged into one) or talking over comlink. (with that awesome orange filter) If you just want to draw a regular knight with regular equipment because everything I've said past the third unbracketed word in this paragraph has been dumb, a Heavy Plate Shield & Sudaruska.
Erm, this sounds like a bit of a tall order, so feel free to pick and choose what you want to draw from these suggestions if you don't want to do them all, I'm really not bothered.
