Gun and sword charges are largely not viable in 1v1s/2v2s and it would quite frankly be ridiculous. They're attacks that are supposed to take time to set up and having a Blitz ready at the start of a fight means that you can take out anyone else carrying a charge instantly. Of course, bombs should take time to set up too. However, they're quite impossible to at all charge in the middle of a fight if you haven't established control yet. By allowing bombs to be charged before a fight, you can start chaining them and area denial and the entire bomb weapon class become usable tools.

It would be true in 1v1 but it's a 2v2. For me, it's the teammate who has to create the time for his teammate to charge and set a bomb.
We can see in the FU Bley VS the Fisters that both winners work very well together. While norespekt was buisy with Tempas and Vokster, muffin has been able to set bombs and also he has been able to protect Norespekt at the right moment. For me this is the interest of 2v2 : teamwork. It's not 2 individual skill vs 2 individual skill.
For me, charging a bomb shouldn't be allowed before the start of the fight. You start an action before the end of the countdown and you prevent the ennemy from rushing at you by an already set " trap".

Those are very good points! I think one of the reasons Muffin was able to output so many bombs was that Vokster and Tempas didn't really play it like a 2v2. If they had gone in to attack Muffin more, I'm sure they could've won more but they relied very heavily on guns, leaving his shield up quite constantly.
I hadn't paid attention to this tournament so I was completely unaware that Muffin and Nore had won this battle. It does indeed show that teamwork means a lot more than individual skill and that's something I like a lot about 2v2s. SK needs more of them.

I'm noticing....
Guards are extremely OP in this tournament because of the healing and shielding ability. I think almost every team with one guard won against another team with 2 strikers. And the match illu&reto was also quite an example, I mean illu got his health back in his last match on avenue at one point from less than 20% back up to almost 50%. I think that is incredible OP, so maybe you guys should put in a one-guard rule.
I think a pure guard tournament would be rather...boring. And I must add that many of these matches end up with one guy alive spamming pola and running away. That sucks and shouldn't be in a tournament like this

I think that rules sucks too. Bombs are less good than the other classes, giving them benefits makes them take over the entire 2v2. Making it monotone and boring.

The thing about bombs is that they're either worthless or dominant. If you can set one up, you have the ability to set another one up and that's a huge benefit. On the other hand, if you can't get one up, it's because you're taking damage or aren't trying at all and if you try more, you'll just take more damage. I think Valtiros has the better argument here, though. Cooperation can lead to the ability to set bombs up and that's something which should be encouraged and rewarded.
