MFW people link to Youtube videos instead of posting actual written opinions.

First there are those whose mind are so narrow and blunt, that they can see no alternatives other than their putrid view of the world. And then there are people like you...

So you need to make a thread about what you think? Nobody cares about 'this' opinion.

@Itsmeandersonlol

Nobody cares about your opinions.

Well that's a nasty thing to say to someone. Psychologically damaging, really. Like, that's your intent- to hurt them, going for the neck so to speak. Not even an argument with some kind of contradicting evidence or opinion. I mean, how would you feel if no one cared about your opinions? Do you want to come on here and have someone tell you that no one cares about your opinions?

Cyberbullying is a serious thing, regardless of whether the game masters approve of you doing such a thing.

Fehzor: "One letter changes everything!"
I meant to say opinion, not Korakc's opinions in general. As in opinion, I'm referring to the constant spam of threads complaining about promos and OOO's "laziness" on updates. So no harm done to you Korakc, but these types of threads stress me out! Anyway, it's also considered bullying OOO by saying how lazy, and unresponsive they are for apparently not making anything but promos. Obviously that's false as they did release new weapons which is considered new content.

On the contrary, I would like to think that the bulk of players actually agree with Korakc. I don't have any hard evidence of this, but I've never heard anything to the contrary, except from a handful of people here. Regardless of how many people would agree or disagree with Korakc, I would imagine that newer players looking into the game wondering if it's worth the time and effort would care a good deal about the opinion stated in the OP.

SEGA is a large company, and they should be capable of delivering positive public relations to clear up things; i.e. you cannot bully the poor corporations like you can any one individual- my belief is that statements like "X who represents SEGA is a stinker." should be considered bullying, whereas "SEGA in general has been behaving poorly, and appears to be milking us without working on content." is different entirely. As awful as it might sound, it's on corporations if they're getting pushed around by their own consumers.

This is basically how the last hundred of this thread have gone, and as I mentioned in no-update discussion threads 7-352, there is a good reason for these threads (some truth to them), and that disregarding them and continuing on certainly isn't going to stop them.

I don't want to make a separate thread but I felt I must say it somewhere.

If you think you feel bad about no new content, think how bad the DEVS FEEL. We know they already made some of the new content, but for one reason or another, they can't or were unable to release anything new for over a year. Imagine how bad it is to be an artist and work on something everyday only to be told "you can't release your art because we said so."

I think something fishy is going on.

No harm done. I'm just annoyed that, over the 6 months I've been gone, I come back to see absolutely no new content. When you invest around a hundred dollars into a game, hoping that new content will be released, just to see promotions asking for you to purchase more items, it's kind of like an internet slap to the face. I do feel bad for OOO, as I feel like they're genuinely trying to release something, but if you want to keep players on the edge of their seats you can't just try to sell more items.

I hope OOO prospers, I really do, but seeing how long it's been since something everyone can do for free on SK was released, I don't know how things will go.

WOW!!! The day has finially come.

Humanity on SK. Is the free-for-all of attacking your follow gamer coming to an end?

"think how bad the DEVS FEEL"
WHAT? You mean we actually are allowed to consider the people who work on this game? We can acknowledge their feelings without others attacking with that weird and twisted backhanded slap against their masculinity? Maybe the day is coming that people will realize that if they use their keyboards as swords they can make people bleed, make developers not want to develop.

That sounds like a reasonable assertion, but it's actually quite misguided.

Let's pretend for a moment, and this is a truly wild idea without any basis at all so don't get your hopes up, that the developers are making the core and a ton of new features, fun areas, new boss rewards, the works. We would never know, because they refuse to even mention it to us. Of course people are going to hate on them! They don't try to hide prize boxes from us!

This is why public relations exist. Companies can leverage their role as a major player to communicate to people and control how they feel about their products, set the facts straight, and defend themselves. What you're saying is that it's the consumers' fault that the consumers don't appreciate the developers, but the consumers aren't obligated to appreciate anything at all.

The stupid mmo players see the game masters as gods. Imagine if the sales rep at Lowe's got that kind of attention. It's easy to impress and make amends with these mmo players when they look up to you just for your ability to wall hack in a video game. Your sympathy, regardless of your positive intention, isn't going to solve the problem. Only Sega or Three Rings can do that.

Developers will stop developing because players are angry... awwww... what they gonna do cwy now? are they going to cwyy? :,(

Son, if you think that a game will stop developing because some players are salty then you're quite stup-... innocent, developers can't say something like "oh... look at this, they don't appreciate my ART!!" and then stop developing, they'll just get fired, Sega and OOO as a whole will get to decide when and what developers will do or not do no matter what the developers think. it isn't the developers who are putting us under the wheel of constant promos... it is OOO, the developers are just the hands that create the content, but the hands will only do whatever the brain tells them to do.

Misguided?

A company is under NO obligation to tell anyone what is in development. It is also very disrespectful to demand it. Especially if it goes to the extremes of acting poorly, so poorly, people make them stop what they are working on to try and explain it or to do damage control for those actions like preventing a bleed out of other, good, customers. Now OOO did stop what they were doing and go to the time and effort to cater to those bad customers/trolls and do exactly that. For it, they were beat up down and side ways. Things they said they were working on and "hope to release by" were twisted into user absolutes (and you owe us) and user made deadlines. Impossible to meet as the user refused to allow for any issue like coding errors or flaws in ideas and plans, glitches, that would be needed to be worked out before release. Some went as far as to post that developmental process just proved how bad they suck. So OOO went quit. I would have too. I wouldn't have entertained this. I would have been warning and banning those violating forum/game rules and TOS. Some people just can't and won't respect them for their creation/work or for what they did for them or gave them in the game. That isn't a OOO issue or something for them to correct. That is people who has no self respect. Who have no idea what respect is. They often come from a background with poor or bad education.

Public relations?
I dare you to go into Lowe's, Home Depot or Sears and demand to know what is in development. Demand Sears tell you the next big Craftsman's tool they are working on. Do it with McDonald's and demand to know the next product they are working on. Or Pepsi or Coke. Act as inappropriately as some have here. They will all think you are crazy or trying to steal trade secrets. They will have you arrested. And here in my "no bail" state of NJ, you will sit in jail waiting for your trial and the problem will be solved.

Being on the net doesn't mean bad behaviors are good.

Well SEGA/Three Rings aren't obligated to do anything ever, but that doesn't mean that they're free to do whatever they want without consequences. If SEGA/Three Rings paint themselves as some kind of evil company asking for money all the time that never does any work, they should expect to deal with a number of their players leaving or otherwise posting threads like this one "bullying" them. Therefore, they shouldn't paint themselves as some kind of evil company.

If I was interested in things coming to McDonalds, or Sears, or Lowes, then it would also make sense for them to give me some idea of what I can expect when they are confident of what they are creating or even before that making it clear that they are not confident. Similarly, SEGA/Three Rings could quite possibly consider giving us an idea of what we should be expecting.

In both cases, there will always be people that hate what they are doing. No one can please everyone- some people like McDonald's burgers, others think they're nasty, and PETA probably wants to spill the blood of their hamburgers dramatically over a fur coat to get their point across. McDonald's doesn't hide in the corner and cry, or seek a guidance counselor. They sell hamburgers, and more than that they SELL hamburgers, using public relations and advertising to their advantage.

~sighs~

So let me guess. It's your place to punish them and anyone who isn't disrespectful towards them. That opinion of yours that "SEGA/OOO are painting themselves as an evil company" is yours and maybe a few others. It is one the bad customers and trolls are trying to paint them with and have been trying to do for years. It is what has been sabotaging this forum for years and what has pushed far too many good customers away from the forum and game in general. It is what keeps many potential new customers from playing here. It is killing my game and the game of many other good customers that have tried to be here.

"If I was interested in things coming to McDonalds, or Sears, or Lowes, then it would also make sense" to who? You? You just want what you want. And the want justifies the means and any success in this behavior rewards the behavior by proving you were so right or you wanted have gotten it. As long as you get what you want, that's all that matters. If others get hurt in you obtaining that; company, other customers, whatever so be it. And never have thought that one might have been appeased in that process as an attempt to shut them up and make the problem go away hoping they cause as little destruction as possible. SEGA/OOO could quite possibly tell you to go f yourself too but that would be so unprofessional and then they would really be painting themselves as evil.

It is the place of the parents and school districts to teach manners, social graces and etiquette, not the game makers.
