I can see Winterfest returning with some little changes (like new/reskined event themed weapons/armors), but we will probably see the good ol' Mount Suicide make a comeback with a promo thrown in for fun.
Not sure about the Gunner Update, I have my hopes, but logic combined with the history of Three Rings in the past points to the Gunner Update probably not coming out. But there is always a chance, so it could happen /shrug.

I doubt the gunner update will come. I do believe that Winterfest, and that terrible mountain will be coming back, well, if winterfest doesn't come back, there goes SK's database, but no. It won't come, you can have your hopes, but if takes them just about a year, to do other stuff and tweaks and changes, chances are it's not coming on Winterfest.

Gunner Update
If the gunner update will come in December, which I'd love because my birthday is in this month and it would be one of the best presents I could imagine ;), it will come from 3rd-17th December which is quite obvious talk...
Speaking realistically, the update probably will come next year and I don't think it'll come on the 17th, even though my birthday is on that date :D, just because it would be a content overload. 3rd or 10th are the dates I'd say, or the weekends before those dates, the update will come.
Speaking about Winterfest, I'd don't think anything MAJOR is going to change, BUT! Wow, wow... Slow down!
If the Gunner Update comes in January (HOPE), we will probably see OOO try to spice things up and give some new FANCY stuff (don't really know what it could be...).

It'd be pretty awesome if they did release the Gunner Update, or a major update in general with newer things, as it approaches Christmas time. That'd definitely bring in the ol' jolly spirits and welcome the close start to a new year with something to really enjoy!
Then again, maybe the Grinchlin Assault! mission won't be as crazy as it was now that we have this awesome thingy; it's absolutely perfect for the place, as we'll get to put it to the true test there, and see if it lives up to the grandiose description it has.

Winterfest - Same ol, same ol, but maybe a new mission to go alongside the mountain of doom.
Gunner Update potentially comes out this month.
Maybe another Tortodrone promo event, seems like it would come out either December or January.

On a serious note, since the Gunner Update came out, a new boss might come out. I get the feeling Herex has come back to get a taste of all the new guns that we have.
Sometimes you just need a little more gun.
Gobble snipes will probably start today and end on Dec 2nd.
Starting on the 3rd I expect a new promo box or a redux of an old December box.
Maybe the "big update" will arrive in December, probably on the 17th.
Winterfest will likely be the same as last year.
