Wolvers live and breed on the half ring on the outside of the planet, since no knight has ever thought to explore there the wolvers can repopulate in peace.

As demonstrated in OCH Gremlins have mastered cloning though in order to keep some genetic diversity some breeding is necessary but few if any young gremlins survive past the "Tenderfoot" title and most of the "Darkfang" gremlins are actually clones, this bodes well for the Crimson order as most of these clones are not rather innovative and are more accustomed to fighting or building constructs from decades old blueprints and would not question the current status of gremlin superiority over cradle.

Knights on the other hand run upon the energy found on cradle, when we first landed we had trouble converting the natural energy into Mist and CE but now with technological advancements we have streamlined the conversion of Mist to knight accessible energy thus our knights can continue onward so long as they fancy. There has been no progress in the field of converting the natural energy of Cradle to Crystal form and with constant new discoveries the Tech knights have their hands full with other things.
