Sounds crazy, I know. But every time I click to equip the 2* cobalt armor SK crashes. I have the System Monitor running in the background and it doesn't show any crazy 4-cpu spikes like it does with some other parts of SK. I can equip the helm, I can change weaponry, but the second I click the cobalt armor it crashes. Running the latest Ubuntu on an Acer Aspire 5740-6378.

Sounded like a good idea but it didn't work. Hit compatibility mode and turned off a bunch of the bells and whistles. Maybe I can force update the cobalt model somehow?

if you have recent hs_err.... logs there, post it too.
Try to change quality settings, they recently added ne models for cobalt line.
