How to use Deadly Shadow Cloak?

I've never fed my Maskeraith, so it's at a really low level but the Deadly Shadow Cloak ultimate seems really good, and I was wondering if I should grind all those levels just for one ability. I would appreciate if those of you who have the ability can tell me some things about it.

How long does the damage boost after uncloaking last? Is it long enough to do a charge attack with the Troika family or Fang of Vog? Or should I use a fast sword to get the most DPS out of it? Is there any reason to use guns or bombs for the damage boost?

Thanks.

Inferrence

I have no experience with the maskeraith but I have heard that using a catalyzer to stack up bullets, fire the detonation bullet, and then cloaking before the detonation bullet hits can deal very heavy damage.

Along a similar line using bombs with medium to long fuses (irontech and vortexes) can help improve the damage of a blast, it also works with the Dark retribution since the whirling orbs linger for a good deal of time.

Stack up a bunch or DR bombs or just cloak before one of the regular ones explode.

Swords are ok but to get the most damage you want to get as many hits as possible so troika lines are pretty much out, everything else works fine but unless you have chaos or a CTR UV or perk you might not get off a charge before it fades.

don't know, but

I don't have the answers you want. Sorry. Usually when I uncloak I just do regular attacks as fast as possible.

Let me just point out that skills are the fun part of sprites, but perks are also extremely useful. I'd level my sprite just for the Swift Steps II perk (movement speed increase +2).

When you first use the cloak,

When you first use the cloak, you will get a damage bonus while cloaked. So for example your dark retribution will be hitting enemies for higher damage, while you are invisible. When the duration of the cloak ends, or you uncloak it by attacking or taking damage, you will get an even higher (only slightly higher, theyre both a really high bonus) damage increase, which lasts 2 seconds. The 2 seconds is enough to do most charges easily (but you need to use shield charge technique), Fang of Vog or Blitz needle are exceptionally good charges. The biggest bonus when using it with charges comes from the flash charge, if you let go of the charge when the boost is about to wear off (You do a boosted charge as expected, but its followed by a nonboosted charge - people call it flash charge - because your asi changes when the cloak bonus wears off).
You can also use the deadly cloak with regular attacks, I find the electron vortex + shadow cloak boosted DVS Combo's to work really well on any monster.

I've just made a quick video

I've just made a quick video to demonstrate how amazing the deadly shadow cloak is. Is it worth grinding up to? Absolutely.

@ Noxious

Does the flash charge work on pre stacked Catalyzer bullets?

If you mean to detonate them,

If you mean to detonate them, no - the 0 animation shot hits first and detonates them all, and the buffed shot never connects. If you meant to double stack with flash charge, yes - you can stack two cata bullets with a flash charge, but there's hardly any point since the cata charges so fast anyways.
