Because we all don't have the time to grind out 30million crowns from the game just to buy one armor set or a buggy gun that shoots though walls or to roll VH UVs on every piece of equipment in my inventory.

Yes you can reach high spots just by being F2P but to be part of the top you gotta pay.

As I have brought up in previous arguments TF2 does tis well. Lots of accessories and purchasable weapons, but that doesn't mean that only the rich new players can get the new stuff while the F2Ps have to wait (or just never get it). On the day the item "BASE jumper" was released I picked it up as a random drop as a F2P. In SK a F2P would have to spend inhuman amounts of time playing in order to acquire something a P2W player could get at the drop of a hat (not a TF2 joke).

Look at Fayeth. He's never spent a penny on this game. He is one of the richest people in SK. Granted, he found a Darkfang Shield (i think), but he still does the grind, like any other f2p player out there.

Yeah, the costumes and accessories are not necessary! The only time when this becomes a problem, as Bopp said, is with weapons such as the Overcharged Mixmaster, though even in this case F2P players are not excluded from anything completely necessary to the game. Firestorm Citadel, just like any other mission, can be completed. Mixmaster or no Mixmaster. Of course, in a game that can not be completed, nothing is necessary.

I agree that SK has very few P2W elements. There are absolutely no items that really require paying, although some (COUGHMIXMASTERCOUGH) are very hard to obtain.

I also agree to Bopp that it is logical that OOO has decided to implement something that is mostly pay-exclusive. There are too few people that want to buy some recolored costumes or reskins for money, and the devs have to eat too. In fact, I am still in doubt whether it was a good decision to make OCH "free". This has forced OOO to get most of their money by those cosmetics. If OCH was still money-only, a lot more players would have bought it for those 7 dollars and the devs would have been able to focus on updates rather then cosmetics.

Of course you can buy stuff to make progress faster! What did you expect? "Here you can buy energy, but you can't do anything useful with it, because else the game would be P2W." I believe SK has a great balance between pay and play, nothing necessary, only optional. If they would release more P2P/P2W content too many players would complain, and if they would decrease the advantage you can get by paying nobody would spend money anymore and OOO would go bankrupt.
