I'm well aware of the trade off since it takes hard hits from most elements but are the speed and damage upgrades worth trying pursue a seller or trader for this piece?
((Came back from like a year hiatus from this game so I'm adjusting to all the changes.))
Got the Black Kat hat, worth trying to get the raiment too?

Here's what you need to know about all Black Kat suits and helmets. The 5-star versions are extremely hard to get. The 3-star versions are much easier to get. The 3-star versions are nearly as powerful as the 5-star versions, because they offer the same offensive bonuses (damage+3, MSI+1) but just weaker damage and status protection.
Therefore, if you are already in the "glass cannon" mind set, feel free to use 3-star Black Kat helmet, 3-star Black Kat suit, and Swiftstrike Buckler. If you can get big status UVs on them, particularly shock, fire, and freeze, then your defense isn't even really that bad.
Combining this loadout with heat level 10 and the Swift Steps II sprite perk gives you overall MSI+4, CTR+2 on all weapons, ASI+3 on all weapons, and damage+6 on all weapons against all enemies. Use UVs and trinkets to round out the rest of your CTR and ASI. Then you will achieve nirvana, because there will no longer be anything to strive for.
