How does one get the new gunner gear? Just recently started playing again, what should I get from the new stuff and how do I get it?

Yes, it's a redundant thread, but so are most of the threads on these forums. There's no reason to be quite so nasty.
Halapenoz, pick an item that you want --- say, Winter Grave --- and then read the wiki page about it. The wiki page tells you where to find the recipe. And the answer is Basil, as Oohnorak says. Is that what you wanted to know?

You can buy the base armor at Greave's shop in the Bazar (red stranger on the left side of the map).
The items you are looking for are the Padden Cap and Padded armor.
You can buy each of these for 3000 cr.
The armor recipes can only be found at clockwork terminals in Basil's shop.
To "Hunt" for a recipe you need to know the keywords of them.
Falcon, snakebite, grizzly, etc
Shade, Sentinel, Pathfinder, etc.
I think there are more so you may just want to commit to once 5 star item.
One way to do it is to pick out the 5 star item you want and then find the recipe of the item needed to craft it (and the one under that and so forth).
This can help clear out some of the confusion.
