Considering that his royal jellyness is really the most highly run boss in game atm since his palace is so rich in heat and crowns i figured i would pose the question. What is the best Jelly king killing setup.
I know i typically am not oriented towards killing jellies specifically(Volcanic demo set, nitronome, ash of agni, shivermist buster, venom veiler (that counts i suppose)

So what would be the ideal set for the the his royal pinkness.
Im thinking
5* Chroma set either volcanic or deadly
with either the Dread venom striker or the Archeron
venom veiler ash of agni to ground dot during spin phase and a nitronome in the unlikely event you get swarmed
and top that off with a Barbarous Thorn Shield

i know JK is a bit of a push over but still fun to speculate on how to make it all go faster farming him and his palace.

In all honesty, apart from

In all honesty, apart from whatever equipment is suggested, the best Jelly King run won't involve fighting Jellly King in the first place since he's not worth the 10CE you put in his floor, meaning no need for Dread Venom Striker.

Aside from that, people really can suggest their own preference.

I use a Volcanic Salamander

I use a Volcanic Salamander set and an Acheron/Faust combo for my Jelly runs. It serves me well, whether I'm fighting the Royal Jelly or not.

I have an alternate that I

I have an alternate that I use only for JK runs, which I built using only mist energy.

Cautery Sword with UV Bonus vs. Slime Low (Nightblade is better, see this thread for more info)
Stone Tortoise Shield
Wolver Coat
Wolver Cap

I can solo the entire JK palace, but not the boss. I consider this to be a "budget build".

Aside from being polite to

Aside from being polite to your group, technically speaking unless i failed hard at math fighting jk is still worth it so long as you dont spend any revives (which of course the goal is to not)

Every jk kill you are getting 3-5 Jelly gems, after 15 you can convert those to a 3 star piece of jelly gear that vendors for 3500
in best case scenario you get it in 3 kills which means that that floor is worth 1166 cr
In the more likely worse case you get it in 5 kills which is 700 cr
Right now 100 6400 (ie) 640 crowns for 10 ce.

So long as you are doing perfect clears its still profitable to kill the king guaranteed until energy goes over 700 crowns then its a bit of a crap shoot.

Stuff

@gamegeared - Don't forget the primal tokens and random chance of drops on the boxes. Even if you value the primal tokens at 50 cr, and an average of 2 per victory ...

Given that Jellies are going to start doing piercing, I would suggest an Ash Tail set and a Faust as an fairly good set for Jelly runs.

Dread venom with a slime uv would work well. just so happens there is a medium in the AH :D (mine obviously). Right now the bid is sittign at a paultry 5k. so it could be stolen for cheap. and would make a great Jk run weapon.

obviously--higher would be better. But as the Cutter series isn't very good for T3, finding a high, or v.high vs slime will probably cost more than its worth. just my 2 cents.
