You do know that 3* items need 1000 crowns, the 2* item and 3 advanced alchemy orbs (or 200 Energy)...
Just the orbs alone cost 16k... No one will sell you for those prices.
3* need 3 advanced orbs 2* uses simple orbs and no they don't cost 16k if you check the AH.
Crafting a 3* weapon requires 3 advanced orbs which cost 200 energy. At current market rates, energy costs 8,000-8,300 crowns per 100 energy which comes out to about 16,000-16,600 crowns.
You also need the 2* version of the weapon which requires 3 simple orbs at a cost of 50 energy (4,000-4,150 crowns). And on top of all that there is a 1,000 crown crafting fee.
Also, if you're going by AH prices for your orbs, then they cost waaaay more than that totally since the alchemy orbs on the AH are overpriced.
1) I use the AH for all of the materials that I cannot get over the arcade and missions and the energy requires a lot just to get the orbs so getting them from the AH is better than the supply depot. And I can be able to get a profit (depending on how long I set it for) buy the way I am doing it here.
2) In the old version energy was needed to create weapons now they only require crowns and the orbs (which they can get from the AH) which is much better.
3) many people just buy them using money rather than using crowns so that means doing better in PvP (LD) meaning that they don't show sportsmenship to those who haven't received the required star certificate in order to continue and get there weapons (5*).
4) Unless any one is buying, buy now or prices increase by 25%. (Shining fire crystal has been decreased by 50%).

You can buy Energy using Crowns currently the rate is about 8k-8.3k but it can go lower. So not many people are using real money to get their weapons~. However some users that were from the old times don't need the whole "star certificate" because they had the items from the old times and are still low ranked..
Also I just checked AH on "Advanced Orbs". Each are 6k Crowns per 1 x3 = 18000 crowns. So if you instead use your 8-8.3k cr x2 to make 200 E you can get them for 2k less... Therefore AH is higher priced.
If you need any help with missions there are numerous amount of people that will help. Including myself or if you just want to run clockworks for a bit~
Also based on AH prices 3 Shining crystals should be around 2.1k CR ~ Though in my opinion.. I don't see a reason to buy <10 if I needed them anyway..
1) some people don't have any money (because of them being mostly teens and the privacy) to get energy.
2) it depends on what weaponary they had before the update of the battle sprites
3) if your luck enough you can find the orbs in the arcade and the bosses (b4 them)
4) last time I did a mission no one helped me out one bit and I had to lose all of my sparks of life because of no one helping so now I do my missions solo (except with friends or guild mates)
5) if I want to sell I do it my way not by anyone else (to make a good profit/$$/cr).
I said you can buy energy with in-game money called crowns. Instead of real money. Doesn't matter your age.

Doubt you'll find any buyers for the materials since those are all really easy to find. Most of us have them in bulk already.
