It would have been the perfect way to drum up interest in the game during the crucial release of the Gunner Update. Did SEGA simply fail to recognize the opportunity for mass exposure?
Why didn't SEGA include an SK item/costume as part of the Humble SEGA Bundle?

You are so right! Even if the game is in a state of renovation, releasing something like operation crimson hammer at the minimum price would have been HUGE for publicity, and with the current promo-train strategy for monetization, any influx of paying players out of nowhere would have likely made them some serious cash.

Well what did you expect, OOO went up to sega because they needed help to get some work done but SEGA probably hasn't given a single #€@| about them, seeing how things have been playing out for the team.

It really is a shame.
It really is a shame. 235,459 bundles were sold during the two week run. It would have been great exposure for the game.
This leads me to think that Three Rings really does function as its own independent entity within the company. SEGA may not even be aware of the update schedule for Spiral Knights.
It's just hard to believe the Gunner Update was released without any fanfare while SEGA was concurrently part of the Humble Bundle.
Three Rings and SEGA need to get on the same page :(
LoL, SEGA is still probably trying to create the next awful Sonic game, seriously, I think that is all they cared about.
