Confused about AH prices

I'm confused about something. Maybe someone here can clear this up.
I see a lot of Haze Bombs on the AH starting at 300cr.
I can sell a Haze Bomb to any vendor for 300cr and not have to pay a 10% auction fee.
So it would seem to me that selling a Haze Bomb at the AH for 300 is getting less money than simply selling it to a vendor.
I would think you'd want to have the minimum bid be at least 333 to cover the fee.
What am I missing?

People are stupid, I've seen recipes that are sold in town in the AH at a mark up.......... Saddest part people probably buy them too. -_-
