What if Lockdown Damage Mechanics is Centered around Healing?

This is not a suggestion, just something to think about. What if...
- Whenever players are outside of their team base, they will take 10% of their health every two seconds.
- Everything that used to deal damage now heal for the same amount, everything that heal (including heart pads outside of base) now deal damage.
- The knock-back and other mechanics of weapons and shields are unchanged. The only difference is the damage is inverted.
- No players are immune to the actions of any other player. (ie. friendly fire, guardian shield affect enemies too, etc.)
- The game is still won by capturing and holding points.
Edit: Forgot poison doesn't work the same way on monsters as it does players.
Assume for this hypothetical, poison works on players like it does monsters, reversing healing into damage.

I don't think that would work out. It would just be really silly and LD wouldn't really be determined by any form of combat prowess or strategy. Guardian would be come the new meta. Just go with a buddy, get on a point, and take turns hitting each other hard. If someone comes, deploy a BAB to get them away from the point and then start throwing Shivermist and/or Stagger Storm. Of course, if someone can resist both of them, you'd get nowhere with that.
Shiver would be to keep them frozen and thus off the point. Stagger would be the only other bomb to not heal them and would make deploying BABs to keep the point safe. Why BAB? Because Guardians tank a lot of knockback. Nitro could be fine, but it wouldn't work out in reality.
Other viable weapons would be Pulsars and uh that's about it. How would poison work in this theoretical game mode?
@Klipik
Friendly fire, though! The idel strategy would not be to try to dodge anything, it would be to stand still and tank everything you can, which would make the metagame all about getting hit.

Self-inflicted status like FoV fire and GF curse would be popular since you can keep yourself alive without having to pair up with a teammate. Also knock-back weapons will dominate since damage is useless and goal is to keep the opponents off the point while keeping yourself on the point. Guns and bombs would be more useful because they can heal teammates from a longer distance.
Freeze, stun and poison is essential for offensive strategies.
There would be lot more teamwork since a lone person will struggle to survive past the 20 second limit without FoV/GF status.

Wait, I thought you meant that you had to damage the other team and it healed you, otherwise you die. Did I read that completely wrong?

Klipik,
You heal the opponent instead of damaging them. Which means the goal of hitting them should be to knock them away, not kill them. On the defensive side, you want to hit teammates to keep them alive. Poison basically changes everything back to normal. But then poison affects teammates too...
I think these rules will force cooperation to win games. Like Krakob said, it would be silly and kind of pointless (especially with shields unchanged), which is why I didn't make this a suggestion. However, I think it is interesting from a game theory point of view.

Also, everyone would just sit in an AoA and spam supernovas.

Quite frankly, 2* Pulsar would be way better than Supernova as it would heal enemies less. One strategy would be to just go nuts with DVS and Obsidian Carbine. You could also fill a teammate with Biohazard bullets and try to explode them in a bunch of enemies.
Then striker would be even more OP than it already is, since you can dodge all attacks and effectively just kill the other team. Also this should probabky go in Suggestions.
