My name is Nyroc. If you are reading this, then it means one of three things.
1) I am dead, and you found this book.
2) I gave you this book. For safekeeping,
3) You are my brother reading this while a I am passed out drunk. If so, Coryn, put it down before I insert that sharpened stick you fight with up your rectum.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that that's all cleared up, let's get started into the interesting stuff. Unless you have been hiding in the Clockworks for the past year or so, you know that Haven has fallen to the Swarm. I am writing this book in an effort to keep anyone who finds it alive. Its a reference book of sorts. I have included information on all known survivors, weapons, enemies, places, and situations. However, I will only speak from personal experience.
Nyroc's Guide to a Devastated Cradle
Now that's a way to start a story! I approve. I also grab HexZyle's hand and force him to turn the page faster. Caution is meant to be thrown into the wind. Hyah!
Critzer rump bumps Hexlash to make some room for her, winking at him with a smile, saying hi to an old friend. She looks down at the book and begins reading, a slightly sinister smile at what she sees. She places her thumb at the bottom corner of the page, anxious to see whats on the next two pages. The corner browns and slightly burns from the heat emanating from her. "Mmm... Interesting...."
Ember walks over to the group
"No burning pages. THINK OF THE CHILDREN."
Ember finger-jabs Critzer's thumb off of the page before the thing sets on fire
"Can't we just flip the page already?"
*Flips page*
Walks over to table opposite of the group
*Flips Table*
Ember gets hit by the table. The table, while in mid-air, knocks over the book, which closes as it flies through the air and hits the floor; effectively giving a -1 page flip.
This was probably supposed to be Fan-Fic type thread, where the book is flipped whenever OP wants it to -- sorta like a storybook type of thing. But look at it now. Where did we go wrong?
As I mentioned before, Haven has fallen. It began with a slow infiltration, occasional Guild Halls going dark, missing knights. Little was thought of it at first. I was one of the few who suspected sinister happenings. No one believed me. Then again, perhaps running up to them and screaming, "We're all doomed!" wasn't the best method if convincing them. Spiral HQ only started to take the situation seriously when the first Swarm Knight attacked the crowds at the Auction House. By then, it was too late. Entire infected Guilds swept in, killing and infecting all around them. My brother and I only escaped by jumping off the Arcade, ending up in the Cogworks, the actual machinery of the Clockworks.
Most of the Knights who escaped began looking to a higher power for some solution. Some turned to Vog, others to Monomi. But the movement that grew the most was that of the Apocrea-worshippers. They began absorbing the others, offering safety and even peace with great Soul Stealers.
Their hierarchy revolves around a Knight known as the Oracle. He claims to be the only one who can communicate with the Apocrean Rulers. Below him are the three Disciples. They are the lieutenants of the cult. Acolytes are the elite warriors, and Initiates the main force. They reside in the Obsidian Vault, using the Apocrea's ability to open wormholes to strike across all of Cradle.
There are survivors out there. This is only a list of those I know or have heard considerable rumor of:
Nyroc (me)-the bigger and brainier of the twins.
Coryn-my smaller, faster, more free-thinking brother.
Caite and Keep-brother and sister. Caite is melodramatic beyond measure, but can handle herself. Keep is older, but does not carry the look of a warrior.
Lyn-inexperienced, but now without some skill.
Grell-looks to be an old ahnd at fighting. Carries the scars and surly attitude to match.
Syber-my guess would be a merc. Skilled fighter.
There are certain legends that have developed. One of these is the Hunter. A rogue Knight, he is an excellent sniper. The other is the Vanguard. No one has ever confirmed rumors of this knight. Supposedly, the Vanguard wields a sword taken from a Trojan, and a gun made from a destroyed Rocket Puppy.
My character IS in every right an Apocrean Ruler, only he must be able to succumb to the world of Cradle and then he will have the power to rip 5* armor into itty bitty pieces with a simple round of scratches. Fully-powered punches, just NO.
Every knight who has ventured into the Clockworks has encountered at least on pack of Wolvers. Basic description: brown, furry, jump around a lot, and have a nasty habit of biting Knights that wander by them.
Most Wolvers are about knee-high. Their fur is excellent at slightly cushioning sword blows. They have abnormally long, pointed teeth. This would imply that they feed on meat. Yet, since we have arrived on Cradle, all we have seen them attack is Knights. Why?
Chromalisks, the bane of treasure finders anywhere. Stealing various items, sneaking around invisibly. Travelers must always beware.
All of you are weaklings!
/places a fan next to the book and turns it on
Annoyed by pi's antics, I shoulder barge into him and the nearby fan, knocking them both over.
Guise. Guise. Stahp.
Ember picks up the book and goes back to the proper Page: 5; then hopes that it isn't blank.
Ther r some new chars that u havent mentioned i.e. scorpio pippin strom luke i think and gwen
Nyroc is dead; he was killed by Strom shortly after turning himself into a human bomb to allow Keep, Grell, and Isphea to escape on post #199.
So the chances that he'd have any information on those characters is quite low (unless they're renown across the clockworks).
Enemy lore, and the knowledge gained on broad topics can be expanded here -- because they'd be things that could be gathered via rumors and wandering the Clockworks -- but the information of specific people... Probably not.
Walking in, Sono witnesses Pi getting knocked over. "Oh geez, what did I walk in on?"
Umm... there will be rumors of a mysterious feral knight raised by the snarbolax who once was the member of a renowned squad (His squad char apps. ALso 4 my fan fic.)

In "Outnumbered" (http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/105450?page=7) Creos murdered the other team mates. That's why in recent posts, Scorpio is so focused on vengeance.
No, there will not be. I'm writing this, and don't appreciate being told what shall be in it. Kindly refrain from any further such comments.
Ah, so nothing on the Red Hawks then? They weren't necessarily liked by that many anyways.
HexZyle cautiously turns the page
