For those who don't know, Clarence is a cartoon show aired on Cartoon Network. It's premise is very realistic, compared to more whimsical shows like Adventure Time. It's very unique in this way, and serious topics like divorce and the issue of sharing a child are thrown in as but a piece of backstory for a character, not a plot-device. And another, larger reason...
This scene.
It's really interesting how shows are desensitizing things like gay love, it's really cool how they handle something of great controversy so plainly and harmlessly. Hopefully shows will attempt more of this, as it is a natural piece of life out in the world. Oh, and one of the main character's parents are lesbians. They don't even touch on it, it's just portrayed as natural to the characters. (Adventure Time also did a hint toward a once lesbian relationship between two of it's main characters as well.)
What do you guys think about this? I'd love to hear about the subject.
Also, I love all how 90% of the comments on the video are homophobes.
Eh, I don't really know how to respond for some reason.
Though that shouldn't be really brought up for children, I like how they show you that there is nothing wrong with that.
"Hopefully shows will attempt more of this, as it is a natural piece of life out in the world." As long as they make it harmless, but don't trust all cartoons, for
some can make it look bad either to offend on purpose or do so by accident. For example: Spongebob should NOT have any kind of these themes In them only
because the new writers can be pretty messed up. Did you know in modern spongebob patrick is only acting dumb in malicious intent? Its In a single line
that says It all In the episode,"The Card." They even had Mr. Krabs drive Plankton to suicide. And even made referances to Squidwards suicide In the
episode," Are you Happy now?"
