For those who don't know, Clarence is a cartoon show aired on Cartoon Network. It's premise is very realistic, compared to more whimsical shows like Adventure Time. It's very unique in this way, and serious topics like divorce and the issue of sharing a child are thrown in as but a piece of backstory for a character, not a plot-device. And another, larger reason...

This scene.
It's really interesting how shows are desensitizing things like gay love, it's really cool how they handle something of great controversy so plainly and harmlessly. Hopefully shows will attempt more of this, as it is a natural piece of life out in the world. Oh, and one of the main character's parents are lesbians. They don't even touch on it, it's just portrayed as natural to the characters. (Adventure Time also did a hint toward a once lesbian relationship between two of it's main characters as well.)

What do you guys think about this? I'd love to hear about the subject.
Also, I love all how 90% of the comments on the video are homophobes.

I like to talk about episodes and such. LOL

Eh, I don't really know how to respond for some reason.

Though that shouldn't be really brought up for children, I like how they show you that there is nothing wrong with that.

"Hopefully shows will attempt more of this, as it is a natural piece of life out in the world." As long as they make it harmless, but don't trust all cartoons, for

some can make it look bad either to offend on purpose or do so by accident. For example: Spongebob should NOT have any kind of these themes In them only

because the new writers can be pretty messed up. Did you know in modern spongebob patrick is only acting dumb in malicious intent? Its In a single line

that says It all In the episode,"The Card." They even had Mr. Krabs drive Plankton to suicide. And even made referances to Squidwards suicide In the

episode," Are you Happy now?"

I don't watch T.V but...

I think it's good for kids to watch cartoons that are more realistic. Instead of mindless fun, cartoons should given children a little glimpse of the troubles and drama they will inevitably encounter as adults. Especially older children need more exposure to issues that don't have clear cut answers.

That being said, I don't like it when people analyze T.V shows, movies, or even books for their themes and nuances. If you see something you appreciate, that's great! However, talking about it with others will alter their perception of the work of art, even if it doesn't seem like it on a conscious level. Enjoy what you see and let them see what they see.

For example:
Consider this picture.
It is appropriate for people of all ages until older people start telling younger people what they see in it. After which, it is almost impossible to unsee the new picture. I think that is wrong. Everyone should be allowed to see the picture the way they do, and only see differently when they are ready.

I lost all hope In TV when I saw Teen Titans go. i would have said Its not my cup of tea until It was making fun of TT's fans and became sexist in the episode,"Cooties." The lyrics were

really repetitive adn annoying. It was jsut one word," BOYS." Then after they did contests and the girls won, Beast boy And Cyborg call themselves girls

and make fun of robin. Then Robin Injects Raven and Starfire with "Cooties." (Oh my goodness.)

2nd they slapped all Original TT's fans in the face with a terrible dub.
