LD surveys - what have they resulted in?

I've read more or less every thread since the creation of this subforum and lots have been surveys. There has defintely been at least a dozen which have received a moderate amount of attention with plentiful answers. I don't think anyone has at any point taken the answers they've been given seriously or properly collected the data, though. Can anyone prove me wrong on this one, by the way? It's not what I intend this topic to be for, but I'm very interested if anyone has actually done proper data collection based on survey answers.

Anyway, I'd be interested in going through old surveys and see if one can compile any data from them and make some proper lists or graphs or whatever. Personally, I'm interested in the survey about favourite levels from a few months(?) ago and I'm going to take a look at that one. If anyone else has a particular survey they'd like to see properly analysed, I might be up for doing that in the future, so link 'em here. Or just do it yourself. Excel is easy to use, don't be lazy.

Edit: the map survey only got 6 answers and thus, I'll refrain from working with it as so few answers won't give an accurate representation of the full LD playerbase.

A lot of the surveys didn't get enough responses to produce meaningful statistical data. Too bad there's no way to conduct surveys in game. That would greatly increase the diversity and size of samples.

I think you could ask people in game and perhaps bribe them with a bit of CR and note that thye're helping the community out. You're very right in what you say, though. Proper statistics would require more responses and definitely more strict answer guidelines than most forum surveys. I'd be interested in conducting a new one for maps, but I won't be able to until around Christmas or so.
