Could not log in with the steam version of the game(I don't have the standalone version nor know how to tweak the steam one to run as standalone), tried also to join with an alt without steam login but steam version doesn't seem to work. It says "Either there is temporary network outage or the server is not yet fully operational"
Anyone else is facing this problem?

Yep, getting the same issue. Can log in with a non-Steam account but my Steambound account is getting stonewalled. All the sadness.

I Cannot long in as well. I was in the middle of playing when my spiral knights got a black screen so then i restarted and it said cannot authenticate with steam and then after a few minutes it changed to temporary network outage. I've restarted steam and verified integrity of game files but no luck.
Odd how it would stop working while i'm in the middle of playing.

i tried it several times and got these results from the log in screen
It either:
>says there is a "problem authenticating with steam"
>has a "temporary server outage..." (as mentioned by OP)
>does nothing but say "logging on..."
a bit aggravating to miss out on the New Years Giveaway because of this =_=

Unfortunately, with the same result.
It was completely fine earlier and I didn't have the problem until now.
Hopefully, things will be resolved within a reasonable amount of time and I'm glad to not be the only one dealing with this endeavor. I do, indeed, respect the fact that the individuals whom work on this particular game are on their planned holidays and such, but the "gamer instinct" inside of me grows impatient as with the length of this post. Though as much as I admire this game and have spent time, money, and essentially my effort into it, I am thoroughly dis-pleasured with the incessant problems that Steam has provided via their works, despite their various integration of convenient features.
I wish everyone the best of luck dealing with their own impatience while the problem is still awry.

I imagine that everyone except one person is on vacation at there headquarters just really trying to sort things out...
