I was under the impression
I was under the impression that gift games and ce were both trade able. I guess I should have specified a gift game rather than a code. I'm not entirely sure on the trade able part though, never really had gift games before.

First it's against steams policy to sell codes or cd keys. Anything not involving the steam trade system is against their policy and can potentially get your account locked. Another thing to be careful on is it's very risky both as a seller and buyer. Very easy to scam with the selling of codes.
