Has anyone wondered what that other planet was in the background of the login screen?
Some Speculation
If you start a new knight, the game plays you an animated intro. The Skylark traces the energy signal to Cradle's star system and then to Cradle specifically. As you zoom in on Cradle, it's pretty clear that Cradle and that other body are the only bodies around. Their proximity to each other strongly suggests that the other body is Cradle's moon, as Aviri said.
I'm pretty sure that more info will be introduced in story expansion. Perhaps new dungeon, shadow lair copy, etc.
The moon itself is unnatural - just like Cradle.
Unless that was the wormhole we were travelling through?
could that be the great gremlin colony? what do you guys think? (ps. I think the colony will be another expansion or something. "Siege of the Great Colony" or something. levels could be
1. outer wall
2. artillery
3. inner sanctum
4. the hall of the crimson order
5. throne room)
Just speculation on my part, although I think it'd be awesome. Maybe a gun and a trinket as rewards? Tell me what you think. All criticism is welcome, and I accept that there will probably be trolls. xD
@Red-Galaxy: I'm not sure. Can Earth's moon give you good reception?

Remember to clarify.
If you wanna drop smart words, make sure you're actually using the correct, unambiguous terminology.
I never said I didn't understand what you meant, in fact, I was helping others to understand what the heck you were on about because you were using an ambiguous term.
It's amusingly ironic when you say the point goes over my head because that's the exact reasoning why you should be unambiguous in the first place, so that people actually understand you. Conversation 101, my friend.
Actually no, that's not helping them at all understand what I truly meant.
I don't really want to spell it out, because I was hoping someone would catch on.
Alright, so you were implying that.
If what you truly meant was you intentionally left out the "Natural" to imply that the satellite was "Artificial", it would have made more sense for you not to beat around the bush around it, since Mtax already suggested that The moon itself is unnatural, and you then contradicted yourself by comparing Cradle's Moon to Earth's Moon, a Natural Satellite.
Unless I've now actually missed the point on what you're implying, and everyone else gets it but me? If that's the case I could probably just chalk it down to my weird line of logic, and I'd apologize for going Ben Croshaw on your derriere.
@Hexzyle
I remember having a similar discussion with someone once, turned out to be a waste of time, there's no point arguing with someone when they don't care enough to explain what they mean with the things they say. You should just turn around and say "thx for your input kthxbai" DONE.
I know it's a waste of time, in the grand scheme of things. 80% of the time this sort of debate either ends up with me not getting what he's saying, or him not getting what I'm saying, or something like that. However, debating is what I enjoy most. There's something that really gets me fired up having two minds going head to head over something. (Why do you think I lurked in forum/7 for so long? I don't go there anymore though, everything's been discussed to death, and I've kinda given up on that section of the forums since the content updates have died down to nothing in the recent year) And since I don't have very good internet, I can't get my mandatory monthly dose of high blood pressure through TF2 or Lockdown, so this'll have to do.
And then in that 20% of scenarios, sometimes the other person comes out and says something really intelligent I totally wasn't expecting them to say, and it results in me respecting them. I live for those times.
All right. Since you are catching on I'll lay it all out to you. As for beating around the bush, I don't know why I wouldn't have done that.
You are correct, I did leave out "natural" for a reason. It's sort of like an ironic pun, I suppose. Not sure what terminology really fits here. Like Mtax said, the "moon" is unnatural, just like Cradle. Therefor, it could be an unnatural satellite... disguised as a natural one. If I had said "natural satellite," then I wouldn't have been subtly implying that it wasn't natural at all. Comparing it to Earth's moon was supposed to be a hint at natural satellite for those who didn't catch on to the fact that natural moons are also satellites (natural satellites)... Really, I meant both natural and unnatural at the same time. Which is also part of the reason I put the word planet in quotes (also because moons aren't really planets).
Maybe it doesn't make since to you for me to have not clarified all this right off the bat, but where's the mystery in it all if I had?
Fair enough. Sorry for making a big deal out of your comment: I was kinda bored and wanted to write something.
It's sort of like an ironic pun
I feel ya, I do this all the time, and no-one laughs, because it's really dry wit and hidden behind two layers of joke.
I don't know if any of these are relevant (haven't gone through them yet as I'll be going to bed after this comment) but they seem like good starting points to speculating the purpose of Cradle's Moon (I've called it Caeseria in the past)
That looks more like a "moon" of some sort rather than another planet, it'd be really cool if the moon was part of the arcade redux but I guess that is way too optimistic having in mind that we can't explore the surface of cradle even though we've been here for a very long time.
