I dunno if this thread should be here or somewhere else but let me know.
These are just my observations. Dun Hat On Meh Pls
Fencing is half footwork.
Lockdown is pretty much half footwork.
Fencing : Circles for disengaging, parrying then countering
Lockdown : Circles for dodging and countering
Fencing : Feints
Lockdown : The jukes, ahmahgawh
Fencing : Reading your opponent is one of, if not the main thing you do
Lockdown : "same thing here"
Fencing : Mistakes like getting pressured into having to do something, lunging at the wrong time, etc. are easily punishable
Lockdown : Mistakes such as ( ^ this too ), combo'ing at the wrong time, reloading guns etc. are easily punishable
Fencing : Controlling/being wary of distance between you and your opponent so you're not too far or too close
Lockdown : You can't be across the map when you shoot, you also need distance accordingly to your reaction time ( and ping ) in order to dodge
Fencing : Uses a foil
Lockdown : Uses a toothpick ( Pretty much the same thing )
Any more?
Didn't really think of it on my own, but yeah it makes sense. Flourishes are Knights of the Rose weapons, after all, who were basically musketeers. Only major difference is in an LD sword duel, you get hit a lot. And you have a backup GF.
