Okay, this might not seem very important to most players, (especially Veterans who play lots) but what if SK had better camera angles? kind of like a third person game. Scratch that, SK is already a third-person game, lol. I mean...

Has anybody played 'Jak and Daxter'? Scratch that.
Has anybody played 'Borderlan-'... nevermind.

Okay, know how the camera angle is always facing one way looking down at an angle at the knight? what if we could rotate that to another side of the knight so that the camera would be at the same angle and distance, but in another direction? Like face east, west, north, and south.

Get what I'm saying? This would add a whole new PERSPECTIVE to Spiral Knights gameplay! Everybody would LOOK at this game totally different!... hehe. Im so punny :3

I, like my last post, haven't much knowledge about the game engine or how this would affect everything, all I thought would have to be done was:
-Add Back textures to environment
-Modify monster behavior to follow camera movement

But I don't know. :I

im vohtarak, call me by that name

Do you have any idea how pointless this is?
This is the second useless repeat thread you have made, just stop, find one that's already said stuff like this
Also"modify monster behavior to follow camera movement" they aren't programmed to follow any camera movement, they just follow and attack, why add coding for it if it was flipped?

No.

The reason this game runs so smoothly is because the models cut corners at all costs. Have you even tried standing north of a respawning pot and looking at it? You'll notice that a single face that is usually hidden by the top of the pot has no texture/color to it and that it is simply transparent. Anything you can't directly see does not exist, like the back side of treasure boxes or walls. Sure a retexture could go into place, however load times would be longer and the game would be more laggy. Imagine the core model being loaded three times every level.

Camera angles are something to be played with, but must maintain their current positioning. You can see what Three Rings tried in the Silent Legion mission.
