Some people consistently get on "best player" lists (*cough* Contri *cough*). It gets kind of repetitive after a while. So that's why I made this thread.
This list is for players that rarely (if ever) get mentioned on "Top LD Players" threads.

For every person you select, you must explain why they are underrated!

For example, do they have good moves but lack the UV/connection to do well? Do they use underpowered weapons and still stay competitive?
Most likely the "celebrities" can do everything these people can and more. However, the celebrities already have a lot of attention. List people here that you think deserve more recognition than they already have.

Van-Winkle: no uvs, 3 star helm. van has great moves and can switch very fast and well

Rebel-Ex: no reason, just that no one ever acknowledges him lol

Miabot: can do a lot of good for a gvg team if they happen to sub her.

Jleung: not sure if he ever gets acknowledged but outstanding gunner. beats me 9/10

Zave: very versatile recon

Flamingocean ( I think that's his name.. xD ), a returning player with 3* armor w/o trinks ( last time I played him ) he can hand my ass back to me and switches pretty good too.

Although inactive, Xhaba was once an amazing player with way below good gear who could rek most people in LD. He'd use two Grand Flourishes and a Dusker set.

My thoughts

Thank you Bull and Xiss for mentioning me, I really don't deserve it. I whole heartedly agree with The-Germ and Van-Winkle (Van has also done a lot of work to help out other players, check out his Single Switching guide!). Some other under-recognized players (Most of them are gunners, cause they're the people I have played longest with, and also no AT'ers):

Iris-Aura: Rising Defender Elite who can still beat most strikers without AT in his Ashtail gear and 4* swords.

Mechasnare (Before he quit): Great gunner/hybrid, really respected him and his single switching ability was simply amazing.

Coreymonsta: Not sure if he gets a lot of recognition anymore since he isn't that active nowadays, but he was an incredible gunner with mad-fast single switching.

Mynameis-Seven: One of the best alchemer-switch striker gunners I know. Could survive 1v4 without much difficulty. I'd really like to copy his movement and style.

Qgzhwkbnm: Hope I spelled that right, one of my favorite bombers that doesn't have crazy UV's. Really good survival rate, and also knows how to use a sword against haze-walkers.

Feco: My hybriding friend, no idea if he's really well-known or not XD. Amazing with his FF + Phantamos, and is helping me learn how to hybrid currently.

I'll think of more later, there are so many underrated LD players, just simply because they don't always get huge damages, but they definitely help to win the match.

Too many names for me to state, but as for one that stands out:

Iris-Aura. He's pretty good, but his gear definitely holds him back.

Rebel is usually laggy whenever he plays LD. Probably why he doesn't get much recognition from most. I did put him on my top LD Strikers list though. Fought this dude enough when he wasn't laggy to know what's up.

My thoughts - for what they're worth

Van winkle - He's always so elusive; i can hardly touch him with a flourish or a brandish - almost invariably i use blasters on him, a favourite of mine. Perhaps it's because i play with 1 bar, but even so i see some players with good connection who struggle to hit him as well. Give him some good gear and he'd be quite formidable!

Miabot - good player, cute person :) Mia doesn't really hunger for damage or play with underhanded tactics. A great team supporter! About the gvg subbing, i can't remember what the circumstances were, but i believe she almost carried her team with capping and bombing....? A while ago sorry

Nethrom - Hatsu doesn't understand why Nethrom is so ... passive... in his playstyle. Hatsu doesn't die to Nethrom often, and it's only because Nethrom doesn't attack much; but his weaving is quite remarkable. Hatsu also doesn't know why Nethrom speaks in third person so much, but it's mildly amusing.

Mynameis-seven - I haven't seen seven play for a while now, but where Dr-Bugos from God-knows-how-long-ago was an amazing recon alch switcher, Seven striker gunned quite amazingly. Admittedly, i find it hard to compare the two; hazy memory, and i was also... defender elite? When bugos was still active. About 2-3 years ago...

Chasern-Zy - NOW CALLED ZY-CHASERN! 9/10 for creativity. I guess i'm mostly afraid of his gran faust; being quite weak to sealed sword combos, and recon combos, you'd imagine how easily chasern kills me

Sirstorm - extra points for being a nice guy :) Just a great well rounded, if not particularly unique, striker! But i do love his accessories.

Funnybunnys - A great player, but very... fickle, if you understand. Very nice at one moment, and give an hour or two he can become quite harsh or inconsiderate. I used to give him the benefit of the doubt, but i understand now how easy it is to fake a persona online, so i don't think much of him anymore. Nevertheless, he was very proficient with his valiance and final flourish in lockdown, matching step-for-step those wealthy celebs with their 3-4 bars of connection. Haven't seen him in a while now, though; inactive? quit?

I don't know who is overrated

I don't know who is overrated or not because I've only started LD a couple months back, maybe 3-4. These people listed are people who I've noted down for having a unique and effective playstyle:

Xhaba/Stuzzicadenti (can't remember if that's how it's spelled) - Definitely a more tactful style of attacking than the stereotypical Skolvers you see everyday, and he only uses 4* gear!

Mehdiocre - but he's not mediocre at all; that double switching tho

Momofuku/skelly - Uses non-damage boosting armor that is 3* to decimate most players with his pokey-stick and Arcana, laughing manically in their faces.

Passunder - I dunno, maybe those flaming wings caught my eye.

Acerx - He's fast and quick to kill, but uses a Winter Grave instead of an Iron Slug so I actually hate him :( He hasn't played in a while though.

Ieast - Honestly, he can hit me like three times with his flourish in like 3 seconds without me being able to react.

Ipipex - i luv u... I mean, uh. I tried imitating his gunning skills but he always hits 10k while I hit 2k. He doesn't even use double pentas (from what I recall)

Urhorse - no one likes you hawsey, sowwy, urbad :(((((

There are many others that I can't remember at the moment.

You can never have enough shout-outs. Encouraging good players and good play is healthy. As the saying goes:

"Knowledge puffs up,
but Love builds up"

Not my intention to insult people because I forgot someone, so apologies if I do. If you feel left out, ask Lushii for some of the mass amounts of royalties she's received and you might feel a little better. Here are some off the top of my head, sticking with the category of underrated or rather not well known.

Dr-Yokushu (sp?)- Great sense of honor, a guard that guards

Greenlocust - Strong recon and very level headed, always hearing words of encouragement from this guy

Nethrom - Thinks a lot, refuses to let me buy him trinkets, limits himself to an iron slug and a BtB

Sprunket - Has a great method of taking out the key players on the opposing team. A nice counter to those that have a good capping game. A shame you can't observe recons too often, he'd be a good one to watch.

Clor - Opted to sit out with me once instead of camping the enemy base which makes it no fun for anyone. This act in itself speaks volumes to me

Free-Man - Every time i play with this guy i can't help but giggle. Things get lost in translation a lot with this guy, which makes it even better. First memories of him were watching him just charge a FoV for like the first three months he played LD. His moments of smart play always catch me off guard.

Ieast - Like Miley Cyrus and the wrecking ball, it's beautiful to watch this guy dance around with a Flourish and Nova

Orion-Omega - Very strong capping game and reads people very well with heavy swords

Rhons - every time i get in a game with him i somehow manage to get hit by a charge shot from off screen, very clever

Zave - Many clever loadout combos that he makes work. Variety at it's best

I haven’t been playing much lately, but for the last couple of weeks when I last played, there have been a lot of newcomers who have been playing LD in the right direction iirc. Props for capping guys!

I think Odisseoo was a mini destroyer back when he was 4star, good times, man. Now hes killing everyone with 5star, good times.

Somewhat different list; people whom I believe are without limitations (UVS, GEAR, ETC.) but still deserve more recognition from the LD comm.

Spectle. Okay, to be fair, hes only been around for about 3 months, and yeah, he ATs sometimes...(!), but he may be the next epic legend, hes pretty good.

Eloux. Shes a decent player I believe is worth listing. Good with guns and swords and is always telling me im okay at ld, lmao.

Ernst. Ho ho ho. Its that guy... hes a real goofy character in LD, going proto and destroying with GF spam (something eloux is a fan of doing as well) so I believe it sort of worthy of note.

Yokushu, ithinkthatshowyouspellit. This guy, im pretty sure everyone loves this guy. Hes good at what he does.
