Infectious

this dude venox was trying to hassle me the whole time, get a nightblade for less than what it costs to make it. after a half hour (i ignored him for a good 15-20 minutes?) i said fine, i'll do it for next to nothing under these conditions, just to get it done with, i wasn't busy atm and i had to go anyways. so the offer was 12K CR and a magic cloak, he would provide the materials to make it (brandish sword, 10 dark shards, w/e else) i'm sitting pretty good, i don't need to scam people, i have better things to do. so, after him running around, giving me a headache, i finally made the damned thing and was trading it back for 12K CR and a magic cloak 2*. he put in 11500 CR and i said that was it, i was tired of messing around with this guy Venox. so i put it up for auction at the AH for 12K starting and 17K to buy out price. (17K being the original price i requested ) then after i put it up for auction, he says, i'll do 12.4K and the magic cloak, i was just done with him. This has royally p!$$ed me off, this guy. and then I get a temp ban. i told the guy if i get 17K for it i'll pay him back what he gave me. ME and HIM had an understanding... HE tried pulling strings, so i said screw him. who else messes around for a half hour, Venox was wasting my time. i COULD strangle him right now, that's how furious i am about this. it's BULL and INJUSTICE! HE tried scamming ME! what would you do in my position? i hate beggers, i click ignore and i should of with this guy, but i thought i could make at least a buck and blah blah blah. GIVE VENOX A TEMP BAN FOR BEGGING! they're a nuisance and i'm never spending anymore money on CE like i just did yesterday! or the other day? anyways, i don't scam, i may get items a bargain price, but i don't steal! oh, and i told the guy he could gamble for it at the AH...

P.S.
I'm not investing any money in GLUU either!
I want justice!

P.S.S.
i may still invest in GLUU...
but seriously...
fix the CE,
have it reset at 5K CR,
I want players playing the game,
i want to make money with this company.
but i know i'm not going to get it with these game imbalances!

/Ignore <player name here>

You know there's an Ignore Player feature in this game, right? After five minutes of failed negotiations, you could have saved yourself a lot of headache if the guy wouldn't leave you alone.

/ignore

Ozymandius is right. Just /ignore them and let that be the end of it.

You took his mats and didn't

You took his mats and didn't give him anything for it. Yes, you had to waste your crowns and expensive CE, but from the GM's perspective, you scammed him.

Also: Whining about bans on the forums might actually be a bannable offense on the forums...

This really sounds.. unfair

I mean c'mon, the game masters might be above 18. They probably wont be able to understand the NOW teenage thing which goes on. I mean, i agree with the guy. If that was him walking next to me and kept saying "HEY, WHY DONT YOU AGREE TO MY TRADE?" over and over again when i was talking to my friends, they would obviously ask me the details and i would have to spend like 1 minute of my life explaining stuff...

I would say, warn the guy that if he doesnt please stop irritating you, then you will complain against him. Then if he continues you can complain. i have seen complains take effect.

I feel your pain XD

@providence according to the GM everything is an offence if it involves a complaint and the fulfilling of the complaint by the targeted player.. for ex:

A person says something like "COME AND BUY MY MATS.... .... .... ... (about 20 words) .... BUY NOW!!!" once in say and once in trade, he will report him for spamming and the GM, not knowing the situation will ban him :P

I hope it doesn't go to the extent that a person says in the complaint " traded with me and scammed me" and then the respective person gets banned... without even looking into it.

And i don't see how posting in the forums saying you were banned for no reason is ban-able.. well if he says something like "i didn't swear" but in reality he did, then that's ban-able, But i think this guys reason is kinda the truth.. well idk what really happened but.. it seems like its the truth. i mean even i encounter beggers. But i usually complain and they... go away for some reason?

Agree with the others, you

Agree with the others, you should have just ignored him and moved on.

But there is one point I think is a grey area here:

If you agree to do a job for someone at a certain price, and they give you mats and you do it and try to give the item back and they won't pay what they said they would, I don' think you should be considered the scammer in that situation. They're the ones trying to cheat you out of what was agreed: if they can just say "I'll report you for cheating me if you don't give the item back at this lower price" then that's not fair at all.

Hey, so, just to clarify: I

Hey, so, just to clarify: I think the situation would have turned out differently if OP had attempted to reimburse the annoying kid for his mats etc.
Probably what the GM was ticked off about was the fact that the finished equip was put up on the Auction House----OP set a price that would recover his CE/Crowns cost, but also make a profit, and the annoying kid would be left out in the cold with nothing to show for it. Again from the GM's perspective, that's standard scammer behavior, but you're all right in that the GM should have at least tried to hear your side of the story. It bothers me to think that you'd get a temp ban for your first complaint (unless you had more complaints you're not sharing with us.)

Of course, none of this would have happened if you had just put the beggar on your /ignore list instead of giving in. Seriously, people who act like that aren't worth talking to anyway. I've never regretted ignoring anyone.
