The Snarbolax battle sprite could make either Valestone/Moonstone (preferably valestone) useful once again, and provide us with yet another Battle sprite.

(Terms: SBS =Snarbolax battle sprite)(PC = Personal color)

SBS, like drakon, focuses on causing havoc and having powerful attacks, unlike drakon, Snarbolax can also reduce enemy stats by lowering attack/defense, and using Stun to slow enemies down, also buffing the player and leaving traps.
It's three harness choices are either Iron (Normal) Gold (Piercing) Dark (Shadow)
*NOTE* I am well aware that Rabid Snarbolax is a thing, however, since maskeraith uses poison, and the same harnesses, I don't want SBS to come off as a combination of drakon and maskeraith.

Skill one: Burrowed Spikes, SBS digs into the ground and spikes pop out from the ground on its path. (Status: Stun)
Burrow: Increases length of the burrow
Spikier: Increads Amount of spikes
Focus: Cool down reduction

Ultimate 1: Spikes come in 2 waves, 1st lowers defense (Appearance change: Spikier body (Spike ends are PC))

Ultimate 2: Any enemy caught in the spikes are grabbed (like Apocrean hands) (Appearance change: Furry body)

Skill two: Howl, SBS roars and the player is given an attack boost.
Louder: Attack boost is lengthened
Sharpen: Attack boost is increased
Focus: Cool down reduction

Ultimate 1: Any monster within close range is given a defense drop (Appearance change: Sharper teeth)

Ultimate 2: Player is given a speed boost as well (Appearance change: Glowing eyes (PC))

Skill three: Thorns, spikes are dropped everywhere and damage enemies in range (Status: Stun)
Sharper: Thorns do more damage
Undergrowth: Wider range
Focus: Cool down reduction

Ultimate 1: SBS runs around and bites enemies (Appearance change: Shadowy Aura)

Ultimate 2: Thorns reduce defense (Appearance change: Glowing Aura (PC))

Leave comments below! TBH, I haven't done the calcs on damage cap so if you want, you can, I'd appreciate it!

Huh.

Pretty well thought out actually. For Howl, I would recommend the boost affect all nearby knights. "Louder" would increase the range of the boost to teammates as well as increase the length. Range also affects the defense drop ultimate.

And the Thorns skill's first ultimate should be changed. Perhaps when a spike is dropped, it fires 1-3 needles around like when the snarbolax burrows?

The good part about this sprite is that it can just be a wolver one instead of a snarbolax one while maintaining the same properties.

I liked your vers. Of the Howl/Louder skill affecting nearby knights, same goes to skill 1 for Thorns

The sprite idea is good and all but there's 1 major problem (which is easy to fix);
If you give Snarby one then the other bosses need a version.

Maybe this sprite can be attained through absolutely massive amounts of boss tokens (aswell as the obvious prize box/supply depot options).

I don't know about a Vana version but I think A turret for Rormy and a jelly who floats on your shoulder (and rather than looking around maybe does a little spin every now and then) for Hutchins.

We technically have RT Battle sprite, one of the ultimates on GP Drakon make it look like RT

Mounts?

How about RT/Snarb are the battle sprites, then mounts are introduced and Vana & Hutchins are mounts.

We don't need other "bosses" as battle sprites.

Just because we have a battle sprite centered around the snarbolax (which could, full well, just be a wolver sprite) does not mean we need sprites for every boss enemy. That's like saying "We have battle sprites that are based on dragons, kats, and fiendish biotoxins. We NEED to have gremlin, robot, and jelly sprites right now!" No, we don't. What we need are battle sprites that fill a niche role that the current ones don't currently cover.

Drakon is power/suppression, Maskerwraith is status/positioning, and Seraphynx is healing/protection. This current battle sprite in question fills the role of traps/group boosts, which is great. Another role that can be fulfilled by another sprite could be map/room control, but that is for another thread.

This sprite would likely be obtained via the supply depot like the other pods are.

Mounts are also for another thread(but still something I support if done right!).

Thanks for solving that :P Anyways our next question is whether or not its Moonstone or Valestone to feed this sprite, I personally vote Valestone because it seems more suiting.

Also, speaking of another thread to cover another sprite, perhaps instead of Room/Map control, it'd be revolved around Using all status inflictions to hinder enemies, like Curse/Freeze, etc.

That's something that maskerwraiths try to do sort of

I would assume valestone would work for a wolver sprite if anything. Valestone is the "essence of life", plus valestone was one of the two minerals required for beast strata back in the days of gate construction.

Room control could probably be done in terms of freeze. Freeze also uses moonstone anyways, so it would work great in that area for the sprite. Moonstone itself is said to contain knowledge and origins of all worlds, so a freezing owl-ish sprite that focuses on room control (crowd control is sort of given to Drakon) would be great. Third skill could be like a mobile freeze mist bomb, perhaps an ultimate would also put them to sleep?
A sleep-themed sprite would be something amazing too.

Also, i'm sorry, what do you exactly mean by Room control? Prohibiting enemies in a certain location?

Nah it's fine.

Room control would mean something such as controlling all the enemies around you in the current area. Most rooms in the clockworks aren't too big, so imagine if you could control the entire room? Nothing like "all of you die NOW!", but rather a way to make all nearby enemies just be easy to control. Like, pretend you're in an arena and you're being swarmed by greavers. Imagine being able to use a sprite skill that sends out a freezing pulse that will freeze all enemies on the map (granted you are close-ish to the center). The freeze could be stronger the closer, and get weaker farther out it goes. Now you can take out the targets close to you without constant greavers in your face!
That's what I mean by room control. Only thing that would have to be taken into effect is that crowd control has to be better than room control for crowds. As such, I would recommend increasing the range for room control sprite control attacks while reducing overall damage, or at least have a falloff point.

Basically, I'd like a way to "control" enemies opposed to making them be the same except now on fire. Or cursed. Or something.

Oh, I get it now.

Ok, that makes much more sense, as for room control, wouldn't distraction also work? As to draw enemies away from you.

Not the same kind but sort of

That could work too. Since there are 3 skills, one that is small and damaging, you could easily have a distraction ability. Like, first attack is like ice breath. It would be like a seraphynx laser that follows you and freezes while dealing low damage and having a wider area of affect. Second ability could be one so that your sprite swoops forwards about 5 tiles and starts doing some little sprite dance and distracting enemies, and after attracting them for several seconds poofs a freeze wave out. Third attack would be the one I described before - sending a large pulse out that freezes enemies.

If you wanted to, you could edit your first post to add this sort of idea in if it seems like a good one. This is about the snarbolax sprite so it wouldn't be bad to have its own thread too. :P

Back to snarby

Anyways, like Fangel suggested, this could very well just be a reskin of wolver, which would be OK...but we all love snarb, do we not?

Forget reskin, how about how you receive it? I think I saw something about how you would get it from alot of Snarb tokens, 100 perhaps? Since it's a sprite.

I was thinking more than 100. Considering how expensive sprites are in depot 100 snarby tokens is kinda laughably easier than the other sprites. Maybe around 400~500?

Eh.

Still a bit much, thats what, 100+ Snarb runs? maybe 250-300? If not 400 is Ok

One thing people don't realise is how effective Snarby is for farming crowns (since it takes such a short time to complete (max. 15 mins) and gives 2.3kcr). The reason this should be a high amount of tokens is because as soon as people start playing it for the tokens they'll realise how much it earns (and people maxed out for the mission will do it in under 5 minutes (in a team it really is just lift loading time)).
I think 350~400 is fine.

Well that's okay.

My soul was destroyed and sealed away in 9 dimensions, so soul stealing isn't a problem for me. :P

Also, I know this is extremely unlikely but it'd be cool if it made those butterfly things (my memory is as amazing as a Baboon's right-thumb) have a chance of seeing as an ally, since they heal Rabid Snarby.

Also, you said you want to avoid the poison side and instead suggested stun, but isn't that the Snarby's weakness? Wouldn't it be better to go with a different status (although none come to mind). If it were Wolver based then it could really be any (other than stun).

Yes, Snarbolax is weak to stun, I realize that, but the reduced speed makes enemies easier to kill, which is what SBS does

Supply depot just makes sense already

The supply depot already has all the current sprites in it. This could be the first real "paid" sprite. Perhaps, upon release, they are also put into a prize box celebrating its release too. This means that you can get a sprite and a promo, and people after the promo can get the sprite for the same amount from the depot.

There doesn't really have to be a "farming" thing going on here right now.
