Yay! No more buggy mixmaster!
Quick question, will the Mixmaster be available to all players one day?
I know this probably won't get answered but meeh ;)
Now i can finally stop crying salty tears for not owning that OP p2w gun.
Thank god for this... I can't wait to use the turret kit.
Mixmaster is.... Questionable. If it gets stuck on things, it's ruined forever. But it did need fixing.

On one hand, I'm kind of disappointed that I won't be able to experiment with breaking the game. On the other, it was a much needed bugfix that had to be addressed with the Overpriced Glitchmaster.

ALRIGHT THEN. HOW THE MIXMASTER WORKS:
If there is a wall in front of the knight when firing, remove the bullet. No explosion, no switches hit, no foul play. Monsters and mist walls do not count as walls for this purpose, but every other wall does. Bullets do not get stuck except when you're trying to break the game... a clean fix if I DID say so myself in the last paragraph of my response to Fangel in this thread- http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/105932#comment-959000
The weapon is still strong however. It still does a ton of damage, and it doesn't make monsters dodge or have reactions ever, making it pretty unique in that regard. A certain someone also tells me that it can still shoot through monster shields, though this was hardly a viable or necessary tactic to begin with. I'd still recommend crafting it (if players could..) but I wouldn't recommend it over every other gun for everything any more, as it's just a functional weapon and not the world's greatest wallhacking tool any more.
mixmaster's charge shots still go through walls. But they did say they only fixed the normal shots.
Mixmaster shots (both normal and charged) are not blocked by "energy gates", they exhibit the same behaviour as before. There's an example of an energy gate in the guild hall training room where the scuttlebots are.
NEW BUG, Mixmaster can no longer shoot the multi-colored blocks, the ones that often respawn and when shot take out all others touching them. Well it can, but you have to be some distance away - pretty annoying.

As for the mixmaster, that's great. Likely when it hits a ghost block right now it goes through the same code as it would for any other block, thus deleting the projectile. Hence it will need to travel (i.e., have some distance) to hit the block for real.
It seems to be almost any block or object, including treasure boxes and minerals, that cause the mix to "mis-fire" now. So you can't break treasure boxes or other blocks with mix unless you stand a distance away from them.
It looks like the fix was just a simple rule to prevent shooting if you're within XX distance of almost anything except monsters, I'd call that a rather unsightly hack not a fix! :P
OOO, please revert back to the old mix behavior - at least until you have a better solution. Because this fix doesn't prevent any glitching (due to the charge shot) and causes added frustration at regular intervals when used "properly".

That reminds me of firng a magnus at at a block less than 2 tile range and it bugs, sometimes it doesn't register, sometimes it breaks the block and the one behind it, and sometimes it breaks a block diagonally

The new bug fix messed up the gun bullets as see-one explained + in close range bullets for some reason the bullets don't hit players in LD..

Nope crafting it sounds too easy and not really fair in a point for those who have invested actual money to find the gun.
Imagine if darkfang shield was craft-able that will be pretty boring and it will ruin the reputation of a rare shield,no matter how much players want it ther are things which you will need to struggle to get if not there is no fun.
As for the others fixes they work pretty well.
So instead they release a look alike that does the same thing as it. Mixmasters well still be unique, and had a long time to wall hack and use their exclusive weapon. Bottom line is that this is compensation and that if releasing a free version benefits the game it should happen. Would it benefit the game? I think so.
Nope I still don't agree but what they should really consider is make a sword version of the mixmaster maybe changing the winmillion(isk if thats the right name) so that all players can gain something new.#equality
The rose aura... anyone got comments about it?
The rose aura look is very nice,both the effect of the roses growing and especially the texture looks pretty nice,its so far one of the good auras which stand out when you have it on a costume
