One time I joined up with a group of players that were quiet. It was a Clockworks run in Tier 3, and I was eager to do some fun grouping! It was me and two others. Anyway, it was dead silent. I said like two things, yet they remained silent. Anyway, we were in a Clockwork Tunnels level and I said my third sentence. I got open three green chests and the other two were going somewhere else (fighting enemies). I said that there were chests over here and they should come. I looked on the map, and the party leader stood still... Yay, he was going to say something... Not! I got kicked out of the group. I didn't get a whisper back or anything. I replied back to the leader and got no reply. I hate when people are like that.
Rude knights -_- (a BIG rant) (and post your rants here too :c)
Who would skip boxes? That seems more stupid than actually rude
I'm usually a silent type in the clockworks, but if there's a fork in the path and it's to a dead end I'll let people know what's down it, and I appreciate when others do the same.
See it happened again! The other day I did the prestige mission and a couple of knights joined me. Not ghosts in the machine or compound 42, but just the regular old "rescue the knights and fight two undead levels!" prestige. The knights weren't way out of their league or poorly equipped, and both had prestige badges as well as mid-level costumes, so I thought "Looks good to me!"
Half a level they made it. Undead/poison clockwork tunnels, no danger room, no fire/shock or even ice, nothing out of the ordinary. Half a level and they're both dead not just ER dead but dead dead, like ready to leave and try again.
This is why whenever I see forumers saying we need more revival techniques and sparks of life to "assist newer knights" I can safely say "No, we really don't." I would REALLY like to see this level of player bumped down a notch so that I don't run into them. If they were in T2 then they'd be doing fine and I wouldn't be soloing missions alone all of the time because presumably someone that isn't incapable would join me. It's like they're just doing the mission over and over, throwing random parties at the wall until one of them sticks and they get a group of 3 that just flat out carries them to victory.. and this is NOT the first time this has happened, oh no. This is like a daily occurrence almost.
"Talking behind people's backs is rude. ^^" Who are you talking to? The Title of the thread? :P
People must not know how hard it was back then for original sk knights that were free to play? it took roughly 8-10 months to get full 5* gear around 2011. In 2013 they lifted that payment of the 10 ce per elevator floor and made it free because they were losing a mass majority of newer players from back then. Most of us players came from Lockdown because that was all we had while going through all the crap we had to deal with in 11'. We are rude or stingy because most of us never had that sort of opportunity when we were raising our characters on hardships, Plus no one wants to waste revs for no reason especially since they took out the "give a knight half you health as a revival" bit out in 2012 when they were updating the UI. So in honesty we're not really obligated to helping new players but we teach them how to handle certain situations so they can avoid the problems and if the problem is constant then we delete that person for failure to follow instructions. Sort of like how the "Real World" operates. As for myself though I'm not a mean person until you decide to troll me in ld then i won't talk anymore and just keep grinding your face into the ground till you rage quit. I'm a hardcore ld player and I do take it serious when I'm not around my friends (the ones that have been on my friends list since day one). My advice to most of you is to stay closer to your friends that have always stood by your side because they will have your back one day, Whether it be Pvp or Pve.
Well um, not to poke holes in your thingie, but the health revival was removed in the battlesprite update, not in 2012.
-your feelings, we understand, and 10 years ahead, reading these same *beep*, we still do
-75% of this thread mentioned kicking, blocking/ignoring player, which is a form of running away from yourself
-hypothetically, you guys might be doing the same to each other in this room right now
-like some have said, get your own spark, you expected the danger you knew.
-so things doesn't go your way in the run, wheres the option that said: [Deal with it] and see you can adapt to it.
-Spiral Knight: Easiest game, when its multiplayer? eh? You've joined a public party, you must handle the potential issues you knew its going to come eventually.
just my insidious thoughts, derp
''-75% of this thread mentioned kicking, blocking/ignoring player, which is a form of running away from yourself''
What do you mean in more detail please?
you're basically not giving them a chance ANYMORE after you lose your integrity of further communicating with them. MOST players have VERY LOW integrity, its very easy to tell.
You can ask others about this, why do people act stupid? Because its just a game, theres no point to rage that quick over [a matter of words]
I thought the whole point of this thread was to vent off some steam. Sure, ranting about it on the forums is rather petty and immature, but sometimes you just gotta let it all out. Complaining about a thread meant for complaining is kinda missing the point.
But here I am complaining about someone complaining about a thread of complaining. So you can take this as the hypocritical words of a bored gamer.
@Rai-Ishikori Well if someone is cloging the chat or being a nuissance I am forced to just endure him?
I made this thread so people (and me) could vent about rude knights, like the ones that insult you. I understand some may kick you out without saying a word, in my opinion that is rude because you can (even bluntly) say that you are just making a fast run and that they should try to follow you quickly, or be kicked out of the group if they wish to take their time through the levels.
I think that if you invite someone to aid you and then treat them like crap because they are slow, or some reason like that, that is rude. They are helping you because you couldn't handle it alone but to you they HAVE to handle it alone and make it quickly (unfair considering you become a burden, as the more people join the less damage each hit does and you being dead won't help)
Also if you offer your assistance to someone because you are bored. They are not asking for your help, so I guess you can't be all like "wow, what a burden you are to me" when in the first place your presence is unrequited :P
It's a game and that's why people shouldn't be rude. We are here to have fun and slay gremlins
Talking behind people's backs is rude. ^^
