Greatest prize box PR solution ever- Make a custom gate using existing levels to compliment boxes!

So we get a new prize box with neat looking stuff in it. It's shock and has a great description thread, but it leaves at least a few people feeling like they're out of luck when it comes to new content updates, even though we had one of those like a month ago and the devs are working their hardest.

Why not add a new prestige mission to the lineup to celebrate the new artwork? Nothing new to the game, playable once per day, containing some levels that players want to play and will really appreciate. Just as an act of good will.

As an example-

Prize box gate is designed for: "Surge towards victory!"

Prestige mission: A shocking discovery

Description: Levels in the clockworks construct themselves in strange ways, often incorporating parts of other worlds rewritten. As part of our initiative to explore and learn as much as possible about this strange phenomena we're inviting you, [name], to explore an unknown and unreadable location near the core. Tread with caution, as the only thing we've observed coming from below are strong electrical signals surging outwards.

Conditions: Unable to see level rotation, cannot see mini-map.

Level 1 (depth 23): Random rotation: 1x first level of ghosts in the machine, 4x shock decon zone
Level 2 (depth 24): Random rotation: 2x first level of ghosts in the machine, 3x shock decon zone
Level 3 (depth 25): Random rotation: 2x first level of ghosts in the machine, 2x shock decon zone, 1x treasure vault
Level 4 (depth 26): Random rotation: 2x first level of ghosts in the machine, 2x shock decon zone, 1x second level of GitM
Level 5 (depth 27): Random shock themed arena: 1x Slime, beast, construct, gremlin, undead
Level 6 (depth 28): Random shock themed arena: 1x Construct, 2x undead, 1x fiend, 1x GitM's treasure level

Mission rewards: 180 prestige + 1 spark of life

(Optional)Incredibly rare treasure box drops: Prize boxes instead of equipment drops. This would probably give out like 3 prize boxes overall. Not a big deal at all and certainly not going to jeopardize the sold prize box that's being hyped. Might even make people want it more.

This requires almost zero work on the part of developers.

Though it would be AWESOME if work were done on this kind of thing (e.g. add some shock bombies to the decon zones), all of these are levels that exist in the game and really it would just take sticking them together and putting it out there with the boxes. No more whining about how nothing but boxes comes out, good feelings all around, a new and interesting means of getting loot, levels that people like in general.

As long as it's not repeatable, we could get a good use out of that extra prestige slot we have almost always. Would make promos an exciting new thing instead of a premium-only time period. Would also make people get excited about "what promo will be next?" No additional content has to be made for events with boxes attached to them (See: all of them now) so that would be great!

You can even make new levels and attach them to these missions if nothing else. Rose Regalia might have a random chance to become a "thorn zone", which is a reskinned version of a wolver den with flower "beast" turrets.
New potential content that can be turned to permanent content after having us "test" them out.

I mean I wouldn't mind if it was repeatable to some extent, as long as it isn't incredibly easy to go on so that people have some self control and get to grind other places; i.e. have to join someone to go a second time. I suggested like, a 6 level run that has 2 arenas at the end. That's a hefty payout, but it's pretty dangerous with no map, shock everywhere, GitM levels and undead/fiend as the primary arena type on D28... it'd also be a lot of Spiral Knights in general to sit through, and a lot of levels to get that big payout.

I can't see about... >half of the mid-end game players farming this, but not every promotion themed event needs to be like this- some of them can be more lenient and have things like aurora isles mixed in with jelly farms, ending in a guaranteed set of jelly farm levels. Maybe an occasional compounds. I could also see a T2 version of the gate coming out, designed to help them get fast orbs and perhaps a few shinning crystals/eternals even.

Exactly. If people want to cheese the system with a five star alt (it needs access) then they're welcome to do so. I personally wouldn't as one of the specified mission per day would be enough for me.

I'm going to bump this because I wanted to re-write it and then was like wait no I already wrote and suggested that. I'm going to write up some more ideas though-

New rare enemy: Celestial Slime

A reskinned blast cube slime that has more HP, is larger and has the celestial texture! It can replace any blast cube slime during the duration of the equinox event with a rate similar to black kats, but only blast cube slimes.

When killed it has a 4% chance to drop a celestial prize box!

New event-only danger mission: Palace invasion!

Prestige mission: Royal consequences!

Description: Research on minerals has been going along swiftly, and researchers have found links between old almirian kingdoms in gate construction! We're asking you, [name] to brave the depths of our latest research! Be warned that what lies ahead will not be easy!

Condition: No arsenal stations.

Level 1 (depth 23): Random rotation: First level of FSC, first level of legion of almire x2, first level of jelly king
Level 2 (depth 24): Random rotation: Second level of FSC x2, first level of jelly king, second level of jelly king
Level 3 (depth 25): Random rotation: Third level of FSC x2, fourth level of FSC, first level of ice queen, second level of JK
Level 4 (depth 26): Random rotation: 2nd level of uFSC, fourth level of FSC x2, second level of ice queen, treasure vault
Level 5 (depth 27): Random rotation: Fire themed slime arena, normal themed undead arena, Vanaduke fight, jelly king fight
Level 6 (depth 28): Random rotation: Shadow lair Vanaduke, ice queen, 1x League of almire's treasure level

Rewards: 180 prestige + 1 spark of life

Optional: Chance to find the current gemstone promotion box, rarely in treasure boxes.

New fun-farming mission for new 4* knights that need T2 rarities: Magmatic mayhem

Available: During any status, monster, or other event. This one is for fire, but it could easily translate into poison, shock, ice, etc.

Level 1 (Depth 7): Fire decon zone x2, fire compounds
Level 2 (Depth 8): Fire clockwork tunnels x2, fire compounds x2
Level 3 (Depth 9): Fire clockwork tunnels x2, first level of compound 42, fire compounds
Level 4 (Depth 10): Fire/something arena x4, Fire clockwork tunnels
Level 5 (Depth 11): Fire/something arena x3, 2nd level of compound 42
Level 6 (Depth 12): Compound 42's reward area x2, Treasure vault, 2nd level of compound 42 x2
Level 7 (Depth 13): Compound 42's reward area x2, Treasure vault

Rewards (refreshes each day): 30 shinning fire crystals, 25 radiant fire crystals, 0 prestige
Replayable? Not without abusing alts.

Optional: T3 variant that features the above but with 5 phantoms on every level
