This was my first Apocrea event, and even though it was fun and the Harvester is awesome, I felt like it was too predictable: when you stand on the party button at the first depth, it's like "Oh no, what is happening, this is totally unexpected and I really didn't know this would happen-_-". So the idea is to make the event less predictable, similar to Dark Harvest.

First of all, the prestige mission won't be repeatable anymore. You can do it once a day to make sure you have some guaranteed tokens, but no endless mission farming anymore.

In exchange, the "totally unexpected trap" will now appear in the clockworks. At every party button the creepy tentacles might appear to pull you into the depth to the Obsidian Nexus (and lock the party). From there on the event will be the same, except for that the cost of the items will be decreased as the number of Apocrea levels will be decreased.

It doesn't have to be exactly this way, but I think it would be good to somehow make the event more dynamic and less mission farming.

True dedication takes effort, hard work, and a whole lot of tea.

Too lazy to explain why right now, will do it later.

Except it will probably be explained why by others before then.

We don't need noob players being dragged into apocrea, the mission is fine but it needs optimizing just like the rest of the game (killing scarabs does reduce lag).

Scenario rooms in the clockworks with some Apocrean puzzles and rewards would be fun.
Keeping the mission available daily is fine, if it was made unrepeatable then the cost of Apocrean items (material and weapons) would have to be severely dropped.

All this would require work and what we have now is serviceable. I'm fairly sure OOO isn't going to devote too much time to reworking an event. They may add new rewards (been done with all events but only the Caketastrophe and Winterfest got a single new floor each).

No.

Apocrea just needed extended time. One week is okay but should encompass two weekends at the very least.

Apocrea isn't supposed to be "unpredictable". It's supposed to be spooky. It's like saying a horror game isn't good because "i knew i was going to be scared". You don't say?

Making the trap in the clockworks is just a no-go. Events are not mandatory, and even clockwork-affecting events do not require you to go into the rooms and fight the event enemies if you want to keep playing normal.

Apocrea is fine as is. Limiting it only hurts the event, as we saw by the limited time factor already. Everything in this game except PvP(sort of), drops, status infliction, and scenario rooms are predictable. Apocrea isn't any different other than theme.
