This Steam announcement came up today. Any ideas what it might be?

Looks to be the tutorial or at least outside Haven, and one of the knights is in 5* gear so it shouldn't be Rescue Camp. Surface levels maybe?

well, I think it might be at least a preview for something new they're going to bring into the game, seeing as it was posted by "Spiral HQ" and they have been promising new stuff since 2013... so... yeah...

That looks like the first level of the game... Like right after you crawl out of the Rescue Pod.

Mtax: "I want to get hyped, but all I see is old skin of proto stuff and random location that is probably nothing."

SpiralHQ: "You're right, Mtax, it's *probably* nothing. ;)"

They also cross posted the images on other social media. Definitely the same tileset used on the mission to haven [media on homepage of haven mission].

That being said, I do not recognize the gate on the rear right from any depth/mission.
Also, the "player" taking the screenshots is wearing the almarian. My guess? New missions to help new AI recruits get to haven.

Has nobody really picked up

Has nobody really picked up what's happening yet? It's obvious. Haven players can now go to previous missions and help new players with their missions onwards to Haven :)

Edit: Never mind, Skepticraven said it too.

I've always wanted to see an open world environment. Maybe we'll be able explore the surface of the planet.

Boom

Nobody's gonna notice that light-brown Proto Bomb that seems to do Blast Network explosions?

That's a regular Proto Bomb, it's the same color as their shields. The blasts in the third image are the animation of the Nitronome that was planted in the second.

Am I hallucinating?

Third Picture, the red pith-helm guy (those little blasts surrounding him), and also the first one, same guy.

Guys, have I suddently become colorblind? Is my computer screen glitching? Because I can guarante to you that that Proto Bomb hes holding on the first picture isn't green.

Also, I'm confident that Nitronomes dont make tiny disconnected explosions, or have I missed some secret upd---
EDIT: Oh, the Nitronome blast animation's ending, I get it.Darnit, I wanted it to be a new bomb so badly....

not low level

Yes, this looks like a Vanguard escorting a recruit through a new area. The Wildfire and the Almirian confirm the one, and a couple large hearts lying around confirm that this is not a low-level area. But since when did new recruits get access to proto bombs?

@Smalltownguy

I hadn't noticed that before.
T3 hearts and T1 monsters.

Something is fishy.

Maybe, if it's a new mission,

Maybe, if it's a new mission, It would be about escorting the recruit and avoiding it to die? like, mission failed if he dies and you have to try again? I dunno bu if it is a new place that will be released to the game I'm happy with that :3
