So, after I discovered the "boss" form of the lichens, I replayed the quest level over and over again just to be able to get a screenshot of it.

It would go figure that - on the level I do manage to get it to merge - I also encounter a genuine rare mob (I think the first I've seen since I started playing).

And of course, I sat there giggling for far too long while I imagined my character running from it with a bomb held over her head, and it bouncing after her going, "Oi! Halt! Dunneh y'want a spot o' tea!?" Or something else crazy like that. :P

I may even draw a fanart of this... it's a fairly vivid mental image. :P

Already a work in progress! :) Though I haven't done linework straight out of a vector program (Inkscape, which is the open source alternative of Illustrator) for waaaay too long. It's an interesting challenge!

And thanks! This is such a lovely little game. Hard to believe it's been out there for so long and I never heard of it until now. :)

During the progress of this, I have been reminded all too well of how rusty I am with pen tool & mouse(pad) lineworking. But she seems to be turning out all right so far. For anyone who comments: No, she's not finished. :P

I haven't started working on the moustached jellyman, yet.

But if anyone has any input or constructive criticism, I fully welcome you to comment. :)

Hi, I am an artist that has been drawing fan arts for this game, if you want, you can visit my DA page MidnightDj-SK or the Spiral knight art group to find some inspiration.

As for the draft, it looks fine, although I have a few minor issues:

-Her nose is a bit big, but if realistic is what you are going for, then it is a nice looking nose.

-Her spine seems to be bending at an incredible angle, is your knight a contortionist?

-Her left lower leg seems to be shorter than her right lower leg, only slightly.

Ps. man, she is ripped... then again, I have drawn girls more muscly than that.

Aye, her nose is a bit on the large side for now. I haven't decided what I want to do with her face, yet. I haven't gotten to the part where I nitpick over details. :P

As for the spine, she could be! The mental image that I am drawing this off of was an extremely hilarious, cartoonish take on my knight running away from the moustached and toupee'd jelly featured in the first post. So yea... I'm definitely aiming for exaggeration there. <3

Yay! Someone else spotted the leg thing! It's definitely something I'll be fixing, I just haven't had time, yet. :)

P.S. I like muscle definition in my artwork ^.^ Athletic! Though the lines will likely be softer in the end. It depends on if I am going to draw her with her full outfit, or pretend her midriff is bare for fanart's sake. :)

No! I fail at pixel art, so bad. >.>;

It's just that I made the stroke weight in my vector program .5 and under, and it didn't convert very well. I'll be fixing that before I move it over for the actual CGI bit. :)
