I admit that I haven't played LD in a while (because I dislike it), but I'm sick of players whining about AT in lockdown. People claiming AT's unfair, AT screws you up, AT's for noobs, ATATATATATATATA-- stop yelling.

Ok, I uncheck "Auto-Targeting by default", and I only use Auto-Targeting when I attack turrets so that I won't slide off of them(for example, attacking polyps near brambles with my Wild Hunting Blade in wolver dens.) and when I shoot Gorgos with my Mega Magnus so that I won't miss(they fly side to side).
I don't see a difference.
BUT, there probably is a difference. I'm not telling anyone to stop discussing AT in lockdown, I'm telling players to stop yelling "AT NOOB" every time they die.

Also people constantly complaining about lag. Laglaglagla--stop....well, I'm not saying you shouldn't think about it, I'm just saying that you shouldn't whine about it all the time. I don't have any lag issues(except when I glitch out, but that's uncommon). You shouldn't yell "UGH LAG UUUUGGHH" every five seconds.

TL;DR: Stop yelling "AT NOOB" and "LAGGING" so much.
EDIT:#1: I turned down the capital letters and exclamation points to show that I'm not really yelling in most of this post.
EDIT:#2: I changed the post to say the thing that I meant to say. I DIDN'T mean to say "there is no difference uugggh shut up," I meant to say "just stop yelling about it so much."

Yes it is. " AT is for noobs"

Yes it is.

" AT is for noobs" by its nature.
In many games help to aim exist to help new players ( aka noobs) to touch their opponent.
In SK, this help remains available in pvp for some reason.

You can't compare AT in LD and in PvE. A PvP game can't have aimbot, if you use it you just suck and you will never be good.

Basic eye hand coordination and complaining is gone...at least for you.

Whining about people who whine is literally hippocrateical.

I'm guessing you're one of the noobs who say: "AT doesn't help me, I play just as fine without it." But in reality people are staring at you with your head up your rectum, wondering wth you're talking about.

If people can pop out of the internet and stare at you, that would be creepy

If you want fun and balanced PVP try some other game. SK is pretty P2W (don't care about everyone being able to get things for free; truth is the paying players get it faster), AT is part of the problem but there is far more wrong with SK PVP than just one mechanic.

@Krakob: I'm ranting, not

@Krakob: I'm ranting, not whining. There is a difference.
Rant: To speak at length in a wild, impassioned way.
Whine: To complain in a feeble or petulant way.

@Theirillusion: I am a Vanguard(not a noob). But, I suck at lockdown: I play just as worse without AT. (I didn't understand that last sentence, by the way.)

@Faeyd: Yes, that would be creepy...

@Holy-Nightmare: AT is only part of the problem, but I'm talking about people who talk like they only see AT as a problem. I know that Lockdown is very unbalanced, which is why I haven't played it in a while. I'm not very interested in Player vs. Player stuff. (I try to play Blast Network sometimes, but people don't play it that often. That game is very underrated)

To everyone I responded to, no hard feelings.

No really, it's whining. A summary of your post is:
a. You think people should stop whining about AT.
b. You consider AT to not at all be significant, presumably because you haven't bothered observing various playstyles and thinking about how AT affects them. You treat that opinion as a fact, despite hopefully knowing that a large amount of players rely on Auto Target and can't achieve anything significant without it. If you aren't aware of that, you're VERY out of touch with LD.
b. You also say people should stop whining about lag.

Really, that's both feeble and petulant.

Lag is a problem solved in 2 steps:

First we need numerous servers so that we can get more people online.

Next we need to get those servers full (or close)

Why? When someone in the America's gets put on an EU PVP game the lag will be bad and vice versa. Of course we don't have many PVP games going on period due to the low number of players. If we had more players and more servers we could fit people into matches with people nearby which would decrease latency.

That's not how networking works. You don't lag because someone on the US is on a Eu server. Your connection is strictly to the Eu server, and it has an amount of latency which is determined by the path your router takes to the server, as well what any hardware along the way does.

Most of the time, what happens in SK is that you send input to your client, your client reflects on that input by changing your position, animation, or whatever, and also sends the input to the server. Some milliseconds later, the server will return information correcting anything that's wrong in your client. Other players will be given this corrected information so that their clients know what to do with your character. Nowhere here does any player make a direct connection to another. It's only indirectly through the server, and the server doesn't make a difference between players of various latency.

If you have 500ms ping, the server will still instantly act on your sent information as soon as it gets it and distribute other relevant information to other players. You might think, but then it'll still take 500ms for my information to reach the server and then even more for the other players to get it. What happens is that your actions are treated as if they were made 500ms later on the server than you made them in your client.

@Krakob
Well... you're right.
AT might be significant, but I wasn't aware that so many people depend on AT.
"You're VERY out of touch with LD"
Ya, but I said that...
"I admit that I haven't played LD in a while,"
...but I should have said "a long while".

I was talking about people who yell "AT NOOB" every time they die, so I probably need to reword that.

Aye, those are a bit of a pain. /ignore is a wonderful feature, always keep that in mind. Either way, those people aren't the ones who debate AT on the forums. There are people who consider it an actual issue which requires change which are the ones who can actually debate it here on the forums, and there are people who just want excuses they can make when they die so they have more excuses to insult people because they think that a guilty until proven innocent accusation model is a good idea.

I approve of this post,

I approve of this post, Pery
I also suck at LD and when I do manage to get a kill someone, they get angry about AT. I do not think AT should be banned and I believe it was put into the game to be used, not to be crticized and removed.

If you suck at LD, improve by practicing your aim by yourself instead of relying on a mistake help.
