Welcome to the Shot-fire thread, where we shoot fire, fire shots, and light shots on fire!
Oh, that's not a shots fired thread? It has something to do with lockdown? Meh... BORING.

Let's talk ALL PvP! :)
I don't play Lockdown anymore, I play Blast Network. It's fun!
In Blast Network, you strategically place bombs to blow up opponents. Learning is easy, mastering is the challenge! When you get blown up by the skillful players, learn from them and you'll get better at it. My favorite kind of match is the Free-For-All match, where everyone is against you and you are against everyone!

Lockdown DUN DUN DU: I don't play Lockdown, because of the rude players and the strike boosters that ruin combat. The strike boosters give unbalanced stats(really, how does having both fast and high damage make any sanse?), destroy any hope of many charge attacks and slow weapons, and turn the game into a game of chase.
I remember in Lockdown I was fighting a player who had a guardian shield and a Divine Avenger, like me, so it turned into rock, paper, scissors; or a turn based RPG. Shield blocks attack, dash dodges attack, attack damages an attacker, and attack eventually breaks shield.
I think Super Brawl is more balanced than Lockdown because of Lockdown's unbalanced classes, but both games are unbalanced because of gear. To balance gear, we need other gear to counter it, and one of the ways to do that is to make defense actually effective.

Super Brawl was far less balanced than LD. There was only one viable way of playing it. LD has a far wider selection of viable gear. The classes may not be very balanced but Guardian is still a viable class if you're good. So you got two viable classes and plenty of viable gear. The only thing anyone "good" in Super Brawl ever did was spam Salad Sword combos and Antigua.

Edit: Not as Krakob said then, all classes are viable >e>m>p>h>a>s>i>s> IF <<<<<<< you're good.

Rude players. The ignore list isn't there for decoration >.>

It's pvp, not pve. Different tactics for different modes. Sure, you can just spam charge mindlessly in pve, but people aren't as stupid as you might think, we don't want to get one hit killed in pvp.

Sealed swords and hammers are slow/heavy swords, there's at least 69 in every game. The magnus lines and alchemers ( partially ) are heavy guns and are more than viable in lockdown. Bombs are also good if you have the footwork.

A game of chase? Dodging =/= Running away

If the point of this thread is to say that Super Brawl is better than Lockdown, then I agree to disagree with you, like the others. Even if you lack the gear, connection, or skill, there is still a way to contribute in LD if you bother to figure it out. The people who are good will always be good. As unbalanced as LD is, that will remain true regardless of the disadvantages or advantages they hold. Two Guardians fighting eachother isn't going to be the stand-still you imagine if one is much more skilled.

Other than that, I'm not sure what it is you're trying to say that is new.

That's not at all what I said. What I said is that at least Guardian is viable if you're good. That doesn't mean it has any significant part in the RLD meta. It does play a bigger role in GLD but you don't really need one. Recon isn't viable at all for high level LD. The class is far too underpowered. A viable class is a class which is actually a decent choice that can contribute to your team. Due to the movement speed and combat prowess of Striker, it's very hard to be a decent Guardian or Recon. Guardians make for excellent support for a team of strikers but Recon is just trash.

(*cough*reconguns*cough*) Anything's viable if you're good. IMO

There are plenty of scary Recons out there. A good one won't necessary come in the form of someone who demolishes the whole team, but rather tactful enough to outplay them while giving their own team a valuable advantage. Compared to Guardian, I'd say a smart Recon has way more of an edge if they're not completely outclassed by UVs. UVs outclass everything.

I'm fairly certain if you'd been continuously playing the same class for 3 years you'd be somewhat decent at it.

Fate

Fate's got a point. haha

Then again with the OP, why not use all 3 classes for different situations.

It's clea that if you

It's clea that if you consider 1v1s, recon are underpowered but the strength of recon lies in stalling. They may be able to waste so much time of the opponents that they can be even more useful for the victory than strikers who kill some opponents and then die.

But guardians can do that much better. If you wanna waste your opponents time you gain more from having higher health, a shield, and health regen.

I don't know about you, but I find an invisible target much harder to hit than a sitting duck like a Guardian who doesn't know what's up. Anyway, this only applies to people who know what they're doing. (Recon cloak is also lagging the hell out of me now.)
