These are the three enemies I haven't really worked out a solid strategy for (Besides "Kill really fast")

Kats will swoop in from completely off-screen, and if you put your shield up the moment you see them, you'll STILL get hit.
You can try sidestepping, but their placement and next course of action of either spit or chomp is random and difficult if not impossible to anticipate.
On their own, and with plenty of space, Kats aren't too troublesome, it's when they're mixed in with all the things a candlestick keep throws at you.

Greavers... thankfully I don't run into these very often, but every time I have, everyone starts dying, horribly. These have ended runs.
You cannot outrun these, they will stay on your tail, and trying to dash away will just get you lag-hit.
In any case I expect these, all I can really do is have my flourish handy and deal with them as quickly as possible.

Rocket Puppies.
Ever get those arenas where 12 of them show up around the parameter on top of menders healing and grenadiers throwing their crap everywhere?
I don't think anything more needs to be said on this one besides Fire, Tears, and Disbanded squads.

It's important to remember that you can interrupt a Greaver's attack by hitting them with anything. Bombs and Flourishes work well. Barrier items are useful for these enemies.

As for the 12 Rocket Puppies, you can dash to the side of the map (or use Shadow Cloak) and most of them will lose sight of you. Though this is ineffective if you're not playing solo.

**Edit**
You can dash through Kat projectiles without taking damage. Almost forgot about that...

Not too hard to counter

For kats you need to use prediction. If you have the Operation: Crimson Hammer DLC, they become laughably easy with the rocket hammer once you get the hang of it.

Greavers are pretty easy even in large groups as long as you're attacking them instead of running. Running from greavers will kill you, however attacking them prevents them from attacking you.

Rocket puppies you just want to not be in range of unless you're destroying them. If they do spot you, run out of range and dodge to shake the aggro off you. Also in that arena situation run along the outer wall and take them out one-by-one. Personally I know the arena waves so I try to take out an entire wave before I start on the other one to reduce monsters from being all team-uppie.

The trick with all three is not to shield, but to dodge/run. The biggest mistake I see people make on runs is being over-reliant on shields, 'cause the shields in SK are paper thin and you're better off using offense as your best defense.

If you have a Rocket Hammer and some brains, you can rip a new one for all three. It's easier with a Swiftstrike 'cause you can strike faster. All about learning the attack patterns. Candlestick is so much fun just steamrolling through everything with Hammer and AP.

Nah, I still think multiple shock themed devilites along with freeze themed devilites(not in the same depth lol) are the hardest grunts in this game. Godspeed if they shift into overtime.

Can you imagine if we had curse themed greavers and devilites?

greavers

Many players find greavers difficult. So we've had many threads discussing tactics for dealing with them. Google how handle greaver site:forums.spiralknights.com.

The key to rocket puppies is not to aggro them. You want each one to wake up just before you kill it. When dealing with just one rocket puppy, you must also learn how to dodge the rocket, rather than absorbing it with your shield. Because your shield can't take much of that.

Kats are not easy monsters, but I don't have any specific recommendations for them. You just have to learn their AI, dodge their bites, and dodge their many projectiles.

Voltaic Tempest wreck Kats, and should you encounter Shock-Themed Kats, Stagger Storm makes them far easier to manage.
Greavers are fine if you make a fighting retreat: never turn your back on them. If you back yourself in a corner you have a wide enough attack angle to interrupt any that are close enough to deal damage.
The key to the third bout of arenas is manage the progression of the two waves. Once one wave spawns its ring of turrets, deal with them before killing the last roaming enemy of the other wave, lest you end up with 12 turrets instead of 4 and 8 separately.
