Hey

So I have been considering lately wether to upgrade to Windows 10 from 7 for free or to stay with Windows 7. I just want to know if the performance is as good or is better when playing Spiral Knights or with any other games with Windows 10. Well firstly does Spiral Knights even work with Windows 10? Please leave your feedback as it is HIGHLY appreciated.

If there are any GM's reading this please let us know if you are currently making Spiral Knights compatable with Windows 10

Also it would be helpful to know if Windows 10 works well with common apps like Teamspeak, Photoshop and Sony Vegas and any other apps you use. Again please let me know of your experiences as you will be helping not just me but the many other people who are considering this switch. And again your feedback is HIGHLY appreciated.

Thanks for reading :)

algorithms are the solutions to any problem.

as long as there are versions of java, TS and other programs, everything you have listed should work fine. I have seen some posts that said that SK worked on preview win10 if you want to be sure.

as for performances, I don't think the OS influences the performance of any given program. as long as it runs on it in the first place, it should run smoothly.

windows 10 is a better windows

It should be fine. I'm running it on my laptop and it lags and lags and crashes quits by itself and all that. Just like the windows before, so should work for you.

Thanks so far guys

@Thunder The Bright Great :D

@Red Galaxy Ah how about your other apps that you had before. Do they run smoothly as well? Lastly, when you switched from Windows 7 or 8, did it delete your files and documents?

when you switch operative system you pretty much have to make a backup because it cancels everyhing.

Greetings,

This will be the similar as the introduction of Windows 8. You can check out the old post here. Until the OS is formally released we at Spiral HQ will not offer any official support. We can't guarantee any level of gameplay experience when the operating system itself isn't even advertized as stable or ready for daily use.

Support in the new OS will largely be determined by which graphics cards are still receiving driver updates from their respective manufacturers. The Windows default drivers do not include the complete OpenGL support, so the manufacturer's driver is required to properly run Spiral Knights. If the manufacturer elects not to support older hardware in Windows 10 there is nothing we can do.

The upside to this is that so long as your hardware still has the manufacturer's driver support for Windows 10 the game should run just as it has on any other system.

windows 7 is still being updated.
I'm unsing windows 8 right now.
windows 9 is tecnically windows 95/98, so the name was taken. that's why now it's windows 10.
