Ever order your dragon pet to shoot a fireball and the entire screen spazzes out to pointlessly emphasize that your pet just did 15 damage and set an enemy on fire for 2 ticks? Why does it need to do this? It just shakes the screen and disorients players.

My friend doesn't seem to be bothered by it, but he isn't bothered by the Nitronome either, and routinely uses it just to piss me off.
God I hate the Nitronome, could you tone that thing down already? Just a shockwave would suffice, don't need bomberman staring at me.

Hmm.

The Drakon part I can agree with, as it shakes the screen for everyone. If it could have a much smaller radius for the screen shake, it would be okay.

And on that note, can we take the screen shake off of the mixmaster while we're at it? I really hate having people in my party use that weapon because of its screen shakes.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

But screen-shakes are better than milkshakes; they're better for dieting!

I am more inclined to worry more about your drakon's "amazing 15 damage" rather than the screen shake (FEED IT GOSH DARN IT!), it never bothered me, but I guess that looking at all the people who I have heard complaining about it there should at least be an option to remove it.

To address the OP's suggestion, something which my past self forgot, (past me, I always have to clean up for you!) it's a good idea. I think screenshakes need to be reduced altogether. If you look at the LoZ series, there are few screenshakes outside of cutscenes. (And explosions in some games.)

On the topic of Drakon's damage, it isn't too bad when you compare it to weaker weapons. And if you're asking why I use weaker weapons, this game is learning from Dark Souls, I think.

Okay okay, if you want to know Firebolt's real use, it's good for flinching some enemies and crowd controlling. It's also the only point-and-shoot kind, if compared to the other sprites' 1st attacks. (I.e. you don't have to follow up for it to have its full effect. Actually, it has its full effect when you let fire damage work its magic, so its great for shooting things and leaving them while you sword attack the closer enemy.)

But I won't discuss Firebolt any more here. Make a new thread and let this one stay on its proper course.

hmm

The screen shake actually really pisses me off. Now that mix master has just been mentioned, i think it's the only 5 star weapon that makes the screen shakes. While any 0 to 1 star weapon that shoots a normal shot not even a charge chot like the stun gun shakes the screen like no tomorrow. I mean why would a 0 to 1 star weapon have so much of an effect like shaking the screen, where a 5 star high end weapon does nothing? The visual power distribution is just out of whack here. Sigh..whatever
