I'm jumping the gun a little bit with this thread because I didn't officially start until April 4th 2011, but, wow how time flies. It's also pretty interesting to think of how much has changed in our own lives since then - I was still living in my college dorms, working on my basic level classes, but now I'm graduated and working on freelance stuff. That's pretty exciting to consider! I never would've guessed I'd be in this position back then. I never would've thought that this game would've influenced me as much as it has (for the better), either.

Also all of the friends we've made from this game. It's honestly been a wild and exciting ride, and though there's been downs for most, if not all of us, I'd like to think that the ups for us made it all worthwhile.

I love this game, I love the developers, I love the art, I love Three Rings. Honestly, it's been super inspirational I hope to work with a team as cool as them on a project even half as awesome as SK. This community has also taught me a lot about myself and more, so you guys are pretty awesome too, even if some of us butt heads sometimes.

Let's share some love, friends. Let's consider the positive impact this game has had on our lives, friendships, etc.; we've all stuck with the game for one reason or another, let's have a bit of positivity. <3

(PS I wasn't completely sure if this fit more into Gremlin Chatter or General Discussion, I can move it wherever people feel it fits best!)

Im a june 2011 baby. I did quit playing sometimes for other games (sc2 tf2 etc) but i always found myself coming back for moar. and you forgot to mention how great the ost is. when ever im in haven the song puts me in a peaceful trance... i love this game :3

I really did, ughhh. The OST is so good. I've been meaning to buy it for a while, actually. This is one of the only online games where I haven't disabled the soundtrack at one point or another. It's also very good to work to - while I don't have the mp3s, I like to find Youtube playlists of it to listen to even when I'm not playing.

And yeah, I had to take breaks due to other games (Destiny being one of the biggest culprits), but I consistently keep coming back, same as you. :D

Great to see some positivity once in a while. It's hard to fully explain my attachment to this game. There's nothing new, and we've played everything a million times over, yet here we all are. To be honest, I still have fun. The satisfaction of tearing through Clockworks is still there two years later. I've made great friends and had good times with guildies.

Thanks, OOO, for your work. Even though we whine, we mope, it's easy to see there's some love for this game that's not easily erased. It's special to me.

it took me 3 years to get on the forums
it took me 3 years to learn you can sell stuff to the strangers

and i still technically have only 1 knight i use but i use this one for forums and wiki reasons...

I've been forum lurking for a while, because I still have hope in OOO.

And as for the OST... Oh, good times. I remember being a Squire at the Auction House, struggling to get that Voltech Alchemer and Spur. I would sit by and listen to the music, relax, and have fun.
Overtime, as I sat as Vanguard, the music lost meaning, becoming nothing more than ambiance for me.
Then, and only then, would I realize, to this day, how far I've become, how much I've accomplished, and what I should do now. I look back into the past, putting on some familiar old gear, and sit in the Haven garden, listening to the music that got me here in the first place. I then take up some old weapons and journey through the Clockworks to relive my life; not as a Vanguard, but as the person I was when I first played this game. The soundtrack is all kinds of nostalgic when you stop and listen deeply.

great decision there guys. although you could have announced it at 23:55 of 03/31. ehh, maybe 11:55. so nobody has got april fools yet.

Is this sunshine mail?

if it is sunshine mail for OOO, they deserve it badly. The forums is a mess of complaints and toxic children, and the gamemasters, old and new(I've watched a few join in my time), are only trying to fix this hot mess. I've been playing since release, and yes, admit to nearly quitting for good a few times, but I've always bounced back and gotten into the gas me more and more as newer and better content was released. I remember most energy, being able to use your crystals for money, and the buzz of excitement for shadow lairs back when they were released, but honestly, through radiant heat crystals rants, if you read between the lines, I'm glad that three rings has made me smile for four years, and hope and wish for many more for newer players to come. Thanks OOO. :)

I'm not familiar with the term "sunshine mail," and when I googled it I found a bunch of businesses or something. Care to enlighten me? ;w;

Quitting has never truly crossed my mind - I've taken breaks that ranged from a few days to a few months, but that's mostly due to real life shenanigans and whatnot. Even if I do get bored, I never TRULY quit. I even went back to Neopets for my Advent Calendar this December. ;) ahahah

Also, thank you, Doomskull, because I realized I didn't properly thank Three Rings for their work and dedication and everythinggg. THANK YOU. <3

But hey, a positive thread I haven't posted on! I should do that thing!

After pouring over 3000 hours into this game (and over $430 in those many hours...) I'm still having fun. Other than paying bills, I don't think I'd trade away the time and money I've put into this game for anything else. SK helped me through a hard time and by golly will I continue to support it until one of us doesn't have money left for each other.

Keep up the good work!

OOO is definitely slacking when it comes to new material but its great to enjoy what's already out. I'd like to think that Three Rings is working superhard on a huge project and this is why there are dumb so called "promotion" $5 dollar prize boxes. They totally need moar monies for funding the new super-project that will bring Spiral Knights out of the ditch it has been in.

Toxicity? (Leans on Dread Venom Striker) Well, you see, pall, toxicity is great for disabling foes and making your buddies do more damage. Of course, I wish it got a buff because it isn't that great.

Maybe they will go at it for a million dollars, who knows.

SK taken over by Riot Games instead
I would gladly see League go down to nowhere with promo after promo dragged down by OOO and league lovers saying how league could be like SK

Slice-And-Impale@ I wish i could like the sk songs but the music turns me off :/ so i mute game.(except for sanctuary music perfectly fits with the level and gives a calm vibe to the level)

Been here since sk was released to the public (i quit after the first 4-5 ) came back around late 2014 and I must say even if quite slow there has been good progress in the game( except my shard bombs '~' OOO what have you done to bombs).

Not I'm just looking forward to the next story missions update,arcade redux and challenge mode :3
(cough OOO would be nice too have new weapons with mechanics like torto guns,mixmaster and special shields like torto shields)

We've butted heads but I'm not really one to belittle or name call. I was only asking to keep the negative attitude out of the thread. Next time I'll try to phrase it better. ;w; Sorry you took it that way!

Back on the subject at hand - pretty bummed I couldn't play today! I wanted to mess around in my proto gear since it's been four years to the day since I busted out of my escape pod, haha. Always tomorrow, though. :3
