Relevant... although none of the wiki editors or players that help out on the tech support subforum I know ingame have gotten one [myself included]. Keep in mind - I don't know everyone ingame despite conversing with them frequently on the forums.

The word on the street is closer to Narfle's comment - Severe bug reporting. I've heard a few were handed out during the bolted vees incident to players that were online and reported it.

I disagree about posting a list of players with this artifact. The community isn't all rainbows and sunshine. I've had multiple forum threads of mine spammed/attacked and locked for taking an unpopular position on completely unrelated threads. Giving this sort of list may put a target sign on a select few players to be attacked by disgruntled players.

That's interesting. I wonder if someone whose name I won't mention say got one for the recent.. massive security themed event that was kept quiet and is now over. They certainly deserve one for disclosing it.

And I totally didn't get one for being on and reporting the prismatic bolted vee incident. They did give me I believe it was 2 prismatic bolted vees though. Like, before they let everyone keep 10, they left me with 2 (I had "bought" the vees once because I was like what on earth is this real... and then put in the ticket) and I guess it's the thought that counts. Given my history of being hyper critical and causing trouble in General*, I would be a seriously dubious recipient anyway rofl.

As far as a list goes, other sites do have lists of people and I don't think it would have that big of a negative consequence, listing out people that are willing to step forward and be on such a list. Nor is it really necessary though- if the developers find someone and wish to give them an award that's really none of our business, and we don't necessarily want players bug-testing and reporting everything just for the reward.

The developers know lots of bugs already. They just take a really long time to fix them. How long did the stun bug last? 2 or 3 years? How long has the party-joining bug lasted? 3 or 4 years?

My question is can every staff member working for OOO hand these out as they please, or is it chosen by a vote or upped to a person who can give them out? Does OOO hold meetings and talk about members who have shown exemplary service and deserve the reward? Of course it wouldn't be just about that topic, it might be about a server crisis or bugfixes and the people who discovered them are recognized.

Lol, does it work that way? Like, hmm, well this knight is Petater and we really don't enjoy that Petater's shenanigans.. I mean he DID alert us to the exploit, but..
