It is very annoying in LD when I place a bomb and suddenly everyone knows exactly when it will explode and how large the explosion is. Could you imagine playing TF2 or COD and having a similar mechanic on your grenades or sticky bombs. No one would play those classes since they rely on this style of weapon to deal surprise damage.
I believe that bombs in LD should only show the timer and radius to allied teammates. Enemies on the other hand should only see a bomb on the ground, they shouldn't know when or how large the blast will be.
By not knowing at least the radius, it will be easier for bombers to damage players and almost imposible to fight a bomber with an all sword set. I think a more limited version of the way the bombs are seen like make it possi le for enemies to only see the radius for half to one second. Then if the bomb has a Lasting effect on the field, like the mist bombs, there will not be any red markers indicating danger. This way, sword players will have a small window to watch out for these bomb radius.
