I just noticed, there are NO enemies that are based on stun, but there are enemies that inflict stun, did anyone else notice that? I mean, it's not hard to make a stun type level, "Hazing Horrors", a simple stun type level with undead enemies. This somewhat shocked me when I just noticed that. Or are there stun type enemies that I'm missing, or I've just never noticed?

Nah, you aren't missing

Nah, you aren't missing anything

There are no stun type levels that contain stun spikes or a stun pad. Graveyard would be the closest, but doesn't really count.

Just like there are no levels or monster families that feature "normal damage". Stun is the all-round status.

right

There are stun lumbers, stun zombies, stun greavers, etc. But they don't get levels specifically in their theme. If they were ice cream, they would be vanilla: the flavor that one sometimes forgets is a flavor.

There aren't "Stun Lumbers"; all Lumbers deal stun.

But there are Lumbers that purely deal stun. Either way, I'd say some normal + monster type levels are essentially stun themed. A lot of enemies will inflict stun. For example, in fiend levels without a specific status, both Devilite Overtimers and Greavers will inflict stun.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Why can't it be like the other elements/types though? There are weapons that deal stun, zombies are as close to a stun enemy I can get too, but there aren't actual enemies that are named from stun, unlike the other elements/types, enemies have a name for, like Blarful, for a poison devilite.

We should discuss Sleep enemies while we're at it.

Stun is not a special status with any particular theme other than the stars that appear for aesthetic purposes. Not to mention that it is already the default affliction for many enemies that have no particular status attribute to begin with, creating a wave of enemies specifically designed around the Stun status would be an overblown and redundant concept unless Stun is split into what we have now and something else in order to have either one fill the latter.

Speaking of which, of the many ways to inflict Stun, two methods stand the most: sheer mass collision (or blunt trauma) and staggering dizziness. Being stunned by a lumber's tree stump, a Gremlin's hammer or a Sudaruska is definitely not the same context as being afflicted from a Haze Bomb being thrown at and being caught within a Greaver's mist.

Any undead, fiend, grem, or const level without a status theme will have a fair number of stun enemies. (Grem and Fiend especially; it's why I like Stun UVs on my shields so much ^_^ )

Stun is like the sprinkles on top of your ice cream flavor. It appears on top, because it's better as an accent/not dangerous enough on its own. You don't want to eat a giant sprinkle.

Although... if you had a level filled with stun traps, stun enemies, and every Stun was Strong Stun...
