Yes it's something that I'd like implemented to catch the few cases where someone put in the effort, but just died as tokens are being picked up (extremely few cases)
Otherwise I don't agree. Because you're basically saying that these players can get a truly free ride without any care (normally you can just use a spark at the end to get a free ride, but now you can just afk). Also, alt dragging.

I feel tokens are not being frequently Hoarded enough to be worried about alt dragging. I think making this system give everyone in the party a token and not crowns or mats, or heat or rarities is already pretty fair. The token system would be able to help all players who joined the party.

Honestly the whole alt

Honestly the whole alt farming argument is staring to get null, "Alt farming this, alt farming that" why does alt farming even matter or is even considered in balance anymore?

If a player is skilled enough to finish any mission on elite with 4 player difficulty on solo, why shouldn't he be rewarded for it? Because the game might suddenly reward skill and the game might suddenly acquire a redeeming quality?

I agree with you ethan. I mean alt farming just for tokens is still a lot of work. Cause everyone of your alts either need an auto clicker mouse device or have to manually click on the alt for every 8 to 10 minutes just to make sure the game doesn't automatically log them out as away from keyboard. So really, going through that much trouble should at least reward that player with some extra tokens.

I talked about alt dragging as an afterthought. My main point was that people can get a free ride through a boss mission by doing nothing, not even using a spark at the end.
Do you guys selectively read posts for trigger words? :|

I'm with Qwez on this one

Token system is fine. If you can't actively pick up loot, why shouldn't you be able to actively pick up tokens?
Only change I'd think would be nice would be that grace period of time between dying and loot spawns stopping should still grant you full tokens. When loot stops dropping tokens shouldn't be rewarded.

Well Qwez, they were getting a free ride before the change and i did not see too many people demanding we do that changr to not have players get free rides. So i am definetly okay with them getting free rides for just tokens.

Oh hold on a second

Just to be clear, this is only the boss tokens we're talking about, right? Forge/Grim/Primal are client-sided so they shouldn't be party-wide anymore. Boss tokens are the only thing that should do anything like this, but it should be only during a grace period - i.e., about 30 seconds after you go down.

We all know of those players who will not revive themselves during a boss fight... They shouldn't be getting tokens unless they fought until the very end and went down with the boss.

Or you know instead of making it a global pickup, just instance the boss token like all other loot is instanced (except also drop it when people are dead). So people can pick up the token at their own leisure using a spark.

There's still the problem of people just doing nothing during the boss fight... But iono. How do you measure inactivity while dead? Maybe the dead guys are giving advice or keeping track of enemy movements...(somewhat unlikely, but possible)

I think everyone dies and me who is not always prepared to have bought a spark from depo after dying from boss cause of lag and whatnot. So if i were to die and my teamate was to survive and beat the boss, i don't see anything wrong with me getting the same amount of boss tokens or at least one boss token after i died. It's just weird for boss tokens to be classified as a rich/valuable item even if it was vanadukes boss token. Once a player has collected all of the gear from the token merchant, the only value of the tokens is to buy the gear and sell it for 30K. And even if it was someone who is probably not the rank or gear set to face vanaduke had gotten a token, he would still need to repeat that process 10 to 60 more times and be successful each time in order to make the tokens worth while. So again, the boss tokens do not have enough value to be only given to the ones who came out alive after the boss fight.
